The Swallows Rest Bed & Breakfast

Amazing B&B which had everything you could ask for. The room and bathroom were beautifully presented, with views over fields. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. Sam, our host made us feel very welcome and the breakfast was delicious. We would thoroughly recommend a visit to Swallows Retreat.. Many thanks for a first class stay.

Beautiful hotel and peaceful surroundings . The rooms are lovely and spacious - always cleaned immaculately. Breakfast was also very delicious. I have stayed here a few times now and we are always made to feel very welcome. Each time we visit we would always give our stay 10/10 ! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Excellent attention to detail, everything set up beyond expectations. Breakfast all fresh produce which was lovely. Heated bathroom floor a bonus! Gluten free home made cookie on arrival was a lovely touch. Felt very well looked after. Great hosting, Sam!

The location is perfect for my business needs. Not too far off the Main A14, In a picturesque village of Brigstock. Sam is a fantastic host with no request a hassle at all - like booking dinner in 1 of the local areas great bar/restaurants. The rooms are immaculate, extremely comfortable and very spacious. The small touches - likely a freshly baked cookie (Tastes amazing) or the weekday breakfast menu is superb. With Swallows rest - you are not just another guest in the door - but very friendly and welcoming, well communicated with ahead of the stay also. This is my go to every time I am in the area! and this is all at very reasonable price!

Our second visit to this brilliant BandB and it didn’t disappoint. Beautiful room with a bath as well as a great shower. Delicious breakfast. Sam is a first class host and very kindly booked us an evening meal in a nearby village. Will definitely be back when we hope to visit Burghley House.

From the point of booking, they couldn’t be more helpful with recommendations for places to go for dinner and even offered to make a booking for us. We arrived on the day and were met by the lovely Sam. So friendly and helpful. We even got freshly baked cookies and water waiting for us in our room. We stayed in the Willow room which was lovely and spacious and absolutely spotless! The bathroom was beautiful too with a walk in shower and freestanding bath. We were given options for breakfast, so much to choose from and given a choice of times and whether we wanted it in the dining area or in our room. The breakfast was so tasty and the homemade bread was amazing! Before we left, we had a walk around Brigstock which is a lovely village with lots of beautiful scenery. Will definitely be back!
