"This is a lovely country pub with friendly staff and we had a lovely spacious room. We were going to wedding so didn’t eat there in the evening although the food looked great. The absolute jewel in the crown was the magnificent breakfast. Cereals, fruit yogurt etc and then a cooked breakfast made to order. All included in the room price which was excellent value."

"On the hop they accommodated us as a last minute booking and we got a great spot ! We were seated and promptly got drinks and ordered food swiftly . All three meals were fresh and cooked to perfection . It was a lovely atmosphere and staff were very attentive bringing drinks and complimentary table water . Desserts were presented very well and we will definitely be returning soon !"

"We stayed for two nights to explore around the area. They told us about the music festival being on during part of our visit and other attractions. Both were very friendly. We had the large double room overlooking the river direction. The bed was very comfortable. The guest house is part of the funicular railway. It was really cool to see the train ascending and descending outside the back window while having breakfast."
