The environment is really good. The mountains and plains are covered with red, yellow and green colors. This is it. The golf course looks like an oil painting when photographed.
However, such an expensive hotel does not include breakfast. There is only a buffet breakfast for 28 and there is not much to eat. I mainly eat fruits. The dinner at 1902 restaurant tastes good but is very expensive. They don’t even provide bread before the meal. They still have to buy it for 6 US dollars.
I stayed in so many hotels this time, and this is the only one that has a bellman to help deliver luggage to the room because the elevator is too small.
The tour that introduced the hotel was really good. The tour was supposed to be one hour, but the tour lasted an hour and a half.
The service at the front desk was very poor. When I checked in, I was asked to swipe my credit card for a pre-authorization deposit. After eating two meals, I thought it was deducted from the deposit. I called the bank and said it was two pre-authorizations and one was credited to US$253 (meal fee). It’s a few dollars more than the deposit) It’s another pre-authorization for POS machine consumption that hasn’t been released yet. I don’t know what kind of trick this is. I only stayed for one night and two pre-authorizations were deducted from me. How did I use POS for the second deposit? The card machine didn't ask me for my credit card when I checked out.

The hotel was wonderful, a 1900s facility with modern amenities. The staff was extremely friendly and courteous. The waiters all engaged in conversation and told us stories about the hotel. The setting was tremendous. This was our second trip.

Everything was quite nice. The skies were clear & a great view of the mountain range. Was booked to play golf....but rained out. The only thing that I found annoying is the self park & resort fee. We've stayed here in the past but never a self parking fee. Kind of a rip off. We paid $2500 + (upfront) for 3 nights, then I get a bill for an extra $20 park fee & $45 resort fee. TIMES 3 !! Personally I think it's a rip. Nickle & dime stuff....not good.

This is such a special place. You feel like you have gone back in time when you pull up to this grand hotel. The view is beyond incredible and just wandering the grounds leaves you feeling refreshed. It is a great place for families (although this time it was just us). We have been several times and feel like it is time for some touch ups on the place. We appreciate the effort to keep it "of an era" but think the carpet and some of the furniture are in need for replacement. Sitting on the porch and taking in the beauty of the presidential range is beyond special. There is something about breathing in the pine mountain air and the expanse of the sky that brings immediate peace!

Every time I stay at the Mount Washington Hotel my stay is wonderful. The staff work so hard to make our stay that way. And the location is incredibly beautiful.
