The hotel is a little dated, but that’s reflected in the price. The rooms are spacious and clean, the shower hot. However, the food is of rather low standard canteen food with very little regard for vegetarians. The salad buffet - with the exception of tomatoes, cucumbers and lettuce - is 100% canned food. Neither the chef nor the manager care about vegetarians, I was basically told to eat carrots and rice. As mains at a 4 star hotel. Sleeping early is another issue as the evening entertainment entertains the whole hotel until way past some people’s bedtime. The staff are lovely and hard working, but with the management prioritising money over customer service there’s not much they can do.

I am writing the review on behalf of my parents. My mum was disembarked from their cruise as she needed hospital treatment and my father was placed at this hotel. They received the absolute highest support and care from the hotel, during a very stressful time. They went above and beyond to accommodate them, and showed immense kindness to both my parents. I had emailed them and ask them to print things for their onwards travel and the hotel responded immediately. Thank you to the staff from the bottom of our hearts, this has been a horrible time for my parents, and your staff were a shining light in the hard days .

Currently at the hotel and we love it. The staff are exceptional and they take pride in their jobs. All of the staff are very courteous and friendly. The food is plentiful and varied and the rooms are light modern and airy. Excellent location if it’s your first visit to the beautiful Islam of La Palma.

4th visit to H10..can't fault anything. We had an excellent stay. room was spotlessly clean and spacious. bed and pillows very comfy...bathroom spacious bath & shower fluffy white towels & free toiletries...pool and sea view..the only minor problem was that we were above the bar outside seating area it was a little noisy late into the night....meals were really good plenty of choices as we were A/inc and all drinks...checkin was very quick all staff around the hotel were very friendly and work very hard ..plenty of sunbeds no need to get up early like a lot if other hotels!!.so all in all we had a fantastic time..and being so close to the airport..so there will be a definitely 5th stay asap.

We spent one week at Taburiente Playa as a family covering a span of three generations. All of us had a great week. Yes, the hotel shows its wear and tear in places but the cleaning was spotless and all facilities beyond any complaints. Friendly and helpful staff in reception, restaurant and bars. We were positively surprised by the quality and variety of the restaurant and enjoyed all menus - including well-prepared sea food. The bar service was busy at times but offering a wide selection of drinks to dive into - including non-alcoholic selections for all to enjoy. The location is very practical for further exploration of the island. A nice walk to Santa Cruz along the coast, alternatively bus 500 stopping nearby or local taxis. Moreover, many local trails to choose from in the vicinity of the surrounding mountains. The Los Cancajos beach nearby is nice and quiet with good facilities and in calm weather the snorkeling is great. We were lucky to spot both moray eel, octopus and sting ray.
