YYannick.vdhWe had an amazing stay in this boutique hotel. The hosts were super nice and really treated us the best they could. At first the location seemed a bit away from the center, and without grab we were sceptic how to get to the center. But the hosts were super helpfull and brought us by car and picked us up as well. We even lend 1 scooter for an evening for free! The room was super new and had everything we needed. Good bed, big smart tv (for resting day), great shower, good AC and small balcony. We got homemade Vietnamese breakfast everyday. Even when my girlfriend asked for just fruits they made an amazing platter full. These people were so nice and asked nothing in return. We wanted to pay for the rides but they refused. The hotel is in a super new area and the streets are only accessible for people who need to be there, which makes it very safe as well. Just note that if booking a tour they cannot pick you up in front of the hotel, but just 3 minutes walk away, so no problems.

GGuest UserBeautiful newly opened hotel with very nice staff providing excellent service! We stayed at the Moon Boutique Hotel for one night while visiting Cat Ba island. The hotel is very well located on the town's main street and all sights on the island are easily accessible from this point. The room was large, stylishly decorated and had a very comfortable bed. Our favorite part of the hotel however was the staff! They went the extra mile to make us feel welcome and have a nice time on the island! They provided us great information about activities, prepared excellent welcome drinks and breakfast and always had a smile on their face. It was also very nice to see how well they worked as a team! Definitely the best hotel on Cat Ba!

GGuest UserWe stayed for 2 nights here in the top floor family room. We had a nice large terrace facing the mountain. The room was spotlessly clean, the mattress was good and there was enough lighting all around. Plenty of free bottled water was provided. The bathroom was huge with both a shower and bathtub. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, with pancake and pho and fresh fruits. The service was very good, whenever we had a query, we were promptly addressed via WhatsApp with the owner. The location is just right for us, who want to be a few mins walking distance to the main street and restaurant and is quiet enough away from loud music from the tourist bars and restaurants. We highly recommend this place for anyone staying in Catba. Thank you to the owner!

CChalkgrrlWe had a great stay at Napoli Hostel and would highly recommend to anyone looking for accommodations in Cat Ba. Gem the owner was super helpful. She was able to help get our laundry done in 3 hours. The room was just has described, very clean spacious main area with separate bench area by the door for our luggage and to put on shoes. We didn’t need the mini fridge but appreciated that it was available in the room. There was a small desk area to do some work or put on makeup, that was a nice touch. And we were surprised at how good the drying mechanism in the wet room (bathroom) was. In such a wet climate that was nice to have. The room came with a small balcony outdoor area in front of the room but we also did not use this. Lastly breakfast had many nice options, from western to local. It comes with many drink choices as well. Overall wonderful experience and value for money.

The hotel is situated in a quiet area, which provided a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring the beautiful surroundings. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the pier and close to Cat Co beach, making it convenient for sightseeing and enjoying the local attractions. The room I stayed in was spacious and clean, with stunning views from both my balcony and the rooftop cafe. Waking up to such breathtaking scenery was truly a highlight of my trip. The staff at the hotel were exceptional; they were friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to ensure that my stay was comfortable. They helped arrange transportation from Hanoi to Cat Ba and even organized a fantastic day trip to Ha Long Bay for me. Breakfast at the hotel was enjoyable with a variety of options available, including made-to-order eggs that were delicious. The overall atmosphere of the hotel felt welcoming and homely, which made my stay even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend View Point Anh Quan Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and pleasant stay in Cat Ba!

EEkky WidjajaHomestay Host arranged our bus from / to Hanoi - Cat Ba. He also arranged the Cruise day tour and lent us to use his scooter for free because of the landslide blocked the road and the pick car cannot come to our homestay . the homestay also provide food for breakfast, lunch and dinner with affordable price. the Host acted like our travel agency, and we just enjoyed our trip smoothly without worry we were happy during our stay in this homestay.

GGuest UserWe needed somewhere for 24 hours, so we took a full-board option. Mistake! We were offered the same menu twice in the same day. The first time round our food came all at once so we could share, which was nice, and we drank only bottled water. In the evening, a similar thing happened, but the staff didn’t clear away the plates before we had fruit so the table was cluttered. We also asked for a bottle of water, but didn’t get one until my partner went to ask for it. As we were the only two guests in a huge dining room, this didn’t bode well. Breakfast was good and B and B would have been a much better option. The hotel itself is okay, and as it was winter it was empty, and we like it quiet so that wasn’t a problem for us. The AC in the bedroom didn’t get below 21 degrees in the night even though I set it to 19. We paid extra for a sea view but the small balcony was cluttered with plants and had no furniture on it. We weren’t asked if we had a nice sleep etc etc. Some staff members were okay, but many seemed totally complacent. Shame.

BBec TryonThe hotel was very nice. Great location and view (sunset from the rooftop bar is fantastic). If it wasn't for the construction in front of the hotel, this hotel would be the bees knees. It is close to our tour operator and mini markets. The staff so helpful and informative. Jong, one of the managers, organised a taxi for us to take us from our tour in the harbour to our speedboat to take us to Ha Long City. The speedboat driver organised the taxi driver to take us to our hotel in Ha Long City. It was well organised for us at half the price that we paid to get to Cat Ba Island. We were taken advantage of in the beginning of the Cat Ba Island adventure as unknowledgeable tourists, but we were treated so well on our departure trip from Cat Ba Island thanks to Jong.

SShardaleI needed a place to stay when the ferries closed due to a typhoon and this was a neat spot to find on short notice. The comment I am making is based on the amount of money being paid for Vietnamese standards so the room has everything you need and the bed is comfortable, however I felt the blanket was quite thin. The menu for food was only in Vietnamese. There are snacks and drinks in the room that are cheap, but I was hesitant on the bottled water when I had seen it was opened already and I wondered if it was just refilled instead of being a new bottle? The reception staff were very kind, helpful and lovely to speak with. The breakfast was small in variety and the English Breakfast I got was what I feel a way to save costs by giving ham instead of bacon? Again only due to the price being paid did I expect something of better quality in some regards. However I am grateful for a place to stay when I was stuck. There are restaurants nearby, a very good western bar with good food and lovely local vietnamese seafood spots. It is in walking distance to the beach.
