Just stayed for 2 nights at the fantastic Cranleigh Boutique Hotel. We absolutely loved it. We stopped in Room 6 and it was a great room and well worth the money. Modern bathroom with Jacuzzi bath and tv on the wall. Massive and very comfortable bed. Room very nicely decorated and cosy..coffee machine with lots of tea and coffee on included. Absolutely loved the breakfast included aswell It was fresh and premium ingredients. All the ladies working at the Cranleigh where friendly and helpful. Always smiling too. It is very close to the centre of Bowness a few minutes walk to the lake. We will definitely stay here again and would recommend for a romantic, relaxing break away in the Fantastic Bowness

We stayed in Superior room 7 for a weekend break for our wedding anniversary. The room was clean but on the smaller side, the bed was made each day. The spa bath was good, bonus of a tv tho needed subtitles on tv as couldn't hear over the jets. If we had actually gone hiking the bath would of been an amazing addition. We arrived early and our room was ready so we were able to check in and drop off the bags. The bed was comfortable pillows quite big. Found the room quiet didn't hear any external or internal noises, just a bit of wind from Storm Amy Located in an excellent spot only a short walk to Bowness, with several parking spots out front, the back car park was a bit cramped. Breakfast was tasty, and we had a £50 voucher towards food when we booked. We opted for dinner at Baha which went down a treat. Has wellness use of the spa at local ro hotel but we didn't use this. Would definitely return. All the staff were polite and friendly. Did find the external door tricky to open when we retuned after 11pm, was about to call security but then it worked.

It was our 35th wedding anniversary we arrived at 1pm 2 hrs earlier than check in . Our rooms was ready which was fantastic, it was all decorated in red petals and bag huttons chocolates. A lovely gesture from the staff . The Superior room was great lovely bed hot showers and only 2 minute walk into bowness . All shops and restaurants pubs in the vicinity fantastic location . Following morning breakfast loads chose from buffet style first cereals cakes , then order full breakfast which was wonderful. I would definitely recommend Cranleigh Boutique Hotel for all ages.

We stayed at The Cranleigh for one night on Friday 8th August. When we arrived, we were greeted by a lovely receptionist, sorry we didn't catch who checked us in. When we got to our room the hotel had left a card and some chocolates as it was our Wedding Anniversary which was a lovely touch. There is parking at the front and also the back of the hotel for guests. The room was excellent. Loved the decor. The only teeny tiny little issue we could see was that there is mould starting to build in the bathroom, but im not surprised given how old the building is. The Hotel is in a perfect location less than 5 mins walk to many of the bars and restaurants in Bowness. Perfect for getting back nice and quick after a few drinks. The Hotel also offers discounts in some of the bars and restaurants so it was great to take advantage of that. We had breakfast the next morning in the hotel, which was beautiful. Huge portions too. Staff again at breakfast were super efficient and friendly. Loved our stay, the only regret we had was that we didn't stay for longer however we are already planning our next visit to return.

We stayed in the passion suite which was beautifully decorated and had great amenities including private entrance and terrace, spa bath with TV over the bath, Netflix and Now TV access, large very comfy super king bed, mood lighting, lovely comfy hotel branded robes to relax in, complimentary mini bar drinks (including a gin, bourbon, vodka, and white rum and mixers), and a tasty and beautifully cooked breakfast brought to the room each morning for us to enjoy. We were celebrating our engagement and the hotel kindly wrote us a card and gave us chocolates to mark the occasion. We were also given cocktails alongside our afternoon tea at the fizzy tarte to celebrate. The cocktails are delicious and the afternoon tea was amazing. When checking out staff gave us some homemade brownies for the road which was such a lovely touch. There’s plenty to do in the area-lots of walking, shops, and you are a couple of mins walk from the lake where you can hire boats, paddle boards, or catch the ferry to Ambleside or various other places along the lake. Also plenty of bars and restaurants close by-you’ll always have something to do. We will definitely be back. First time we’ve stayed in Bowness and it won’t be the last now that we have discovered the Cranleigh. The staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough to make the stay as comfortable as possible. Thank you.

Fabulous service and a truly lovely place to stay. We had booked to stay a week earlier but due to a family funeral being suddenly announced we had to ask if they could change our booking at short notice. They couldn't have been more helpful - and dates were rearranged with no quibble whatsoever. Our room, (5), was spotless and everything we could have hoped for. Our stay included afternoon tea at the Fizzy Tarte which was also excellent - as were the cocktails. The staff at both the Boutique and the Fizzy Tarte, which is part of the Cranleigh setup, were all so friendly. Lots of choice and great food at breakfast. Great location too, ideal walking distance into the town or down to the lake. To say we had a great experience would be an understatement - it was excellent and even the weather couldn't spoil it - though it tried ;-) Thank you all at Cranleigh and the Fizzy Tarte.

We got engaged in Bowness over 15 years ago and stayed at the Cranleigh. It just gets better, treating ourselves to the Passion Suite this time, for our 15th wedding anniversary Just incredible, the finish, the lighting, the enormous jacuzzi bath, the table and chairs in the bay window. We were treated to spirits and mixers in the fridge, fancy chocolates and the breakfast was perfect, being able to enjoy this in the room. Also seating outside we enjoyed a bottle of fizz! Nothing was too much trouble and I’d requested an ice bucket on arrival, extra water for the room and even swapped out one of the spirits. It was a perfect stay, in a perfect place! We eat in Baha, fabulous meal and enjoyed cocktails at the fizzy tart! I would definitely recommend staying here. Parking right outside the hotel and 5 min walk to the lake / town centre.
