The second BR features a Queen bed (from Room and Board) and is directly across the hall to a full bath, complete with a tub and shower combination.All 1800 square feet of living space are on the main floor. The 600 square feet finished lower level with full size picture windows and walk out access to the dock is fully furnished and includes lots of space for activities. An item frequently enjoyed is the full size pool table. One recent guest even set up a practice putting green!Open a door off the living room and an adjustable awning covered second level deck above the shorefront with comfy cushioned furniture is there to enjoy any time of day. Frequently there is a stare down between Cottage guests sitting on the deck and a s/he Bald Eagle keeping watch on top of a very tall utility pole adjacent to her/his six foot wide nest with mate and fledgling high in a pine tree. Marianmade Farm is a small boutique flower and lavender farm on the banks of the Sheepscot River with 13 private acres and 800' of shorefront. The property is filled with rows of lavender beds, hydrangea, peonies, and a countless mix of annual and perennial flowers. An Apple TV is supplied along with High Speed Cellular Internet. The kitchen is fully equipped for the most discerning chef. There is a stainless fridge / freezer combo, along with a dishwasher, oven and gas range. The kitchen cabinets have Carrara marble counter-tops and beautifully appointed finishes. Flanking the kitchen is a banquette dining space which can accommodate up to 6 guests. There is a corner booth and two additional chairs. The kitchen is outfitted with all the modern conveniences a cook could need. The specific amenities can be supplied on request.The full bathroom in the cottage has a subway tiled tub / shower combo with a toilet and single sink vanity.Bedroom #1 faces the river and the flower fields while bedroom #2 faces back to the private garden behind the cottage that leads to the air stream. There is plenty of parking for guests right next to the cottage. The property also has a european drying barn that is used for drying lavender and hosting weddings and private events. Extensive renovations from the foundation up were required. My wife and our team of talented craftsman curated every detail, adding in old home charm with antique newel posts, period corbels and restored windows. No part of the home went untouched. The waters-edge shack was ramshackle when we bought the house. This too has been fully restored with a main floor and a loft that can accommodate 3 or 4 adventurous guests who want to sleep inches from the water. This includes a garage for one car with room for additional cars bedside the house or on the nearby side street.Other things to noteOur home has a tidal dock out back. There is a first floor full bath with a pull out sofa in a den nearby, making one floor access an option for disabled guests. Please note, the house is very close to a busy street out front and has no fence at the shoreline.
