Beautiful large 6 bedroom corner home with Lake Tetonka access capable of sleeping up to18. The public beach is a 200 yard walk over a wooden bridge that crosses the beginnings of the Cannon River. Close to downtown and to Sakatah State Trail for biking and hiking. Many lakes close by for fishing and boating. Small hometown feel. Also close to largest waterpark in southern Minnesota less than 1 mile away at Kamp Dels. There is a dock, lakeside fire pit, and 6 kayaks available. We also have a 660 square foot game room above the garage complete with sofa bed, love seat, billiard table, card tables, air hockey, and a 1952 wood rail pinball machine. The perfect backdrop for your getaway.With over 6500 sq ft designed with large groups, retreats, and multi-generational families in mind, this cabin accommodates 20 guests with 5 bedrooms and 8 baths.THE HOMEWe are excited to welcome you to this lakeside retreat! Check us out on IG (lakesidelookoutMN) to follow our progress as we get ready to welcome our first guests beginning May 1st. Designed specifically for large groups, multi-generational families and retreats in mind. Starting with the large foyer... Step in with plenty of room to drop your stuff and make yourself at home! Beyond the foyer, you will enter into our open concept kitchen, dining and great room space with a cozy hearth room tucked just off the great room. The wall to wall windows is a show stopper and lends beautiful views of the lake and occasionally a large family of 16 deer. If you love to cook on vacation, you will love the fully stocked kitchen boasting a 48” gas range with double convection/bake ovens, 12 ft island, 2 dishwashers, stand alone Subzero fridge and freezers and a walk in pantry to store all your ingredients. On one side of the kitchen/great room area you will find the "bunk house" with 6 queen size beds (10 ft ceilings so great for many ages), separate changing area and an open concept bathroom with a double concrete vanity and 2 private shower/stool rooms. On the opposing side of the kitchen/great room area are 3 additional bedrooms. One with a private full bath and the other 2 bedrooms sharing a Jack N Jill full bath. The final bedroom is located upstairs complete with a private bathroom and balcony overlooking the great room.The walk out lower level with radiant heat flooring and 9.5ft ceilings has two additional 1/2 bathrooms, two large separate recreational/gathering spaces with a staircase to each. One rec space is set up as a game room and the other a “man cave”, with a large theater room between the two spaces. The game room side can easily be cleared out to set up yoga mats, tables, chairs or whatever you may need. Laundry facilities are available for use in the lower level as well. Madison Lake is a quaint town just an hour south of the Twin Cities. Surrounded by many lakes, the area offers a nearby winery/wedding venue, numerous small lake towns, 2 waterfront restaurants, 2 universities and shopping in the quaint town of St Peter... all within 10 min. We are 15 minutes from Scoops Ice Cream shop, which is located on the Sakatah Singing Hills State Trial. Grab a cone or coffee before renting their bikes to explore 39 miles of paths. A quick 8 minute drive into Mankato will find you every store, mall, restaurant and movie theater you will need during your stay. Or stay put, enjoy the views and let Shipt or Door Dash do the running for you! Lake George is a quiet, fully recreational lake with public access.Lakeside Lookout is a brand new build so the landscaping will be evolving as weather permits. This cabin is set on just over 2 acres, with plenty of trees and 250+ feet of lakeshore. Currently, there are 2 large decks and a fire pit area. There is a stair access to the lake and a floating fishing dock. There are youth kayaks and youth/adult SUPs available for your enjoyment. Please bring appropriate size life jackets, if desired.Other things to noteTRAVEL INSURANCE:Although never anticipated or hoped for, things can come up may prevent you from completing you stay. Unfortunately, because your advance reservation blocks our calendar and prevents other guests from booking, we are unable to make exceptions to our cancellation policy. That said, we highly recommend that guests consider purchasing travel insurance and are happy to provide any needed documentation should an issue arise that prevents you from coming or completing your stay.. Travel Insurance protects you should you need to cancel, interrupt, or delay your trip, due to a covered reason.CLEANLINESS:Before every guest arrival, detailed pictures and video will be taken to ensure cleanliness is up to the highest standard before your arrival. THE GREAT MN OUTDOORS:We love our wooded, lakefront setting but unfortunately cannot control Mother Nature or its inhabitants! Although we have excellent pest control in place, insects and bugs are a part of our thriving ecosystem and we cannot eradicate them all together! You can help keep them outside by keeping doors open as minimally as possible. During your stay, you may also encounter deer, turkey, bunnies, raccoons, etc. We also hope you have perfect weather and lake conditions during your stay, but by booking our property you acknowledge that we cannot be responsible for the weather or many factors that can impact lake conditions.
