Garage is inaccessible to guests but the spots next to it provide additional parking for vehicles.Other things to noteEntire home & grounds are smoke free.Our neighborhood outside Lake Michigan is made up of gravel roads and can require vehicles with four wheel access in the winter due to snow. Snow removal in the walk ways, driveways, and around the spa and hot tub is completed by a private company and will be done as soon as possible during snowy and icy weather. The hot tub and sauna are operable all year round and enjoyable even (maybe especially!) in the colder months. Some light snow or ice removal around the walkways surrounding amenities may be needed to be done by guests between professional snow removal for safety, comfort, and accessibility. The streets leading from town to the property may be difficult to drive through during large storms until crews can clear them.We regularly clean and clear the natural debris that falls from our surrounding tree canopy but you will likely see remnants of sap, acorns, pine needles, leaves, and sand from our sandy soil yard on our decks, outdoor furniture, and around the hot tub and sauna. Nature is all around so bugs and wildlife are present — you’ll love the natural feel of our space!We’re a pet friendly home and love hosting fur friends. Be sure to add your pet (one only) to your reservation and pay $100 pet fee. Perfect sunset views from atop our bluff overlooking Lake Michigan, with breathtaking views. Walk down our nicely maintained switchback trail to your own private Lake Michigan white sandy beach. There are some weekdays where you will be the only people in sight!Bluff walk is a few minutes up and down. 15-20 steps at top and bottom with a nature trail in between. Beautiful with some handrails and trees to grip but a moderate difficulty. We maintain it well but it does shift. Kids and healthy adults will handle it no problem but you won't want to go from the beach to the house several times a day. You will likely get a bit winded coming up. Still better than the straight stairs some folks have. Note: beach chairs and umbrellas not provided so please bring your own beach accommodations.Stylish retro inspired time-capsule home has 3 bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths, and a bunk room. Ample parking. Large backyard with mature trees to shade from the afternoon sun. Large trampoline and an octoball court for the kids (see waiver). Weber propane grill on large concrete patio. Our cozy, family-friendly, newly remodeled cottage is a stone's throw from Lake Michigan and near Harbor Shores. Great location for peace and quiet, surrounded by trees on a large wooded property and isolated from any nearby neighbors. It's close to beautiful downtown St. Joseph, but also not far at all to South Haven and Coloma. Beaches, boating, several golf courses and great dining are all closeby. Home is quiet, private, clean and cozy.Vaulted ceilings over the kitchen, dining, and living areas. Two general sleeping areas: one we like to call the "Lake Suite" with 3 beds, study area and sink, and the other slepping area contains 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. Reclaimed wood can be found throughout the cottage from the former fruit stand that once was on the property. Everything here is brand new including the kitchen, bathroom, flooring and carpet, windows, paint and trim. We wanted to create a very comfortable space that would provide a cozy experience for you to relax and unwind all year.
