It is also a short walk (and even shorter golf cart ride) to Shoals Club, The Commons Park, Bald Head Island Conservancy and miles of biking, hiking and walking trails. Your hosts, Catherine and Brian, make sure you have everything you need to have a beautiful beach vacation. The two screened porches and tree-canopied patio with fresh salt air and the sounds of soothing surf in the distance offer a perfect backdrop to read, drink a glass of wine, cook out, have your morning coffee and relax with family. The back screened porch has a beautiful swinging bed and directly accesses a boardwalk complete with ancient oaks, Spanish moss and a community gazebo. Outdoor deck is outfitted with gas grill and comfortable seating. Al fresco dining is available in the screened-in porch and the deck. This house provides extra privacy as each bedroom has it’s own bathroom and smart TV. There are two bedrooms in the main house. The master bedroom has a king bed. The other bedroom in the main house has 3 twin beds (2 twins and a trundle). There is also a detached tree-house style guest cottage over the garage, which provides extra privacy with a queen-sized bed, smart TV and ensuite full bathroom. The crofter being detached from the house gives the guests added privacy and quiet. Located just 2 minutes by golf cart to the favored East Beach, and walking distance to the Turtle Conservancy, Mike's Bites, and the Commons Park. Our cottage was updated in 2020. Remodeled kitchen with quartz countertops, marble backsplash, new stove, and dishware. Bath and beach towels are provided. New interior paint and decor, new rugs and leather chaise. Dining table and master vanity with quartz countertops. We pride ourselves on keeping our home fresh, tidy, and clean. We do have a no pets and no smoking policy.The first floor has a bright entryway, a garage for the 4-seater golf cart, a bedroom with queen-sized bed, wall mounted television, and full bathroom with walk-in shower. The second floor contains the living room with a comfortable sofa, arm chair, and leather chaise, updated kitchen with new appliances, dining nook, and closet with full-sized washer/dryer. The third floor is a family suite with a teak queen bed and side tables, a twin over full bunk bed, large vanity, and a full bathroom with walk-in shower. Wall mounted television in first floor bedroom, as well as a large flat screen and Blu-Ray DVD player in the living room. Both televisions are smart TVs. We have a few adult-sized bicycles that are kept outside and are available for your use. Guests have the option of purchasing a temporary guest membership to Bald Head Island Club, allowing guests to access pools, waterslides, golf, tennis, pickleball, croquet, and multiple restaurants and coffee bar. The pools are heated through the end of October and re-open in April. The Sumners Crescent community has a shared deck with benches for relaxing.
