Boulder University Inn

I want to thank SEBASTIAN, the gentleman at the front desk of this motel, for his extreme kindness and professional behavior. He really takes his job seriously and treats the customers with great care. He made a real difference for me. I stayed four nights to attend an important meeting in Boulder. The location of the motel is very good.

I don't understand how this motel got more than one star. One of the worst experiences I ever had. Dirty carpet, tiny room, uncomfortable beds, and the most noisy street. We left the motel in the middle of the night because it was impossible sleeping there. Some sketchy people walking around the motel. Don't waste your time and money!

Older motel style place that had a nice reservation years ago - but its showing its age. Beds were great and the place was clean. No frills type place - and priced that way. Walking distance (7 mins) to pearl st ( restaurant shops) Would stay there again

I asked myself if I should give the hotel a 3 or 4 stars review. I decided that the hotel deserves a 4 stars review, because of the excellent service I got at check in and check out. The hotel can't be in a better location. It's minutes away from Pearl street mall. There is also a nice running trail (well, there are running trails almost everywhere in Boulder), that is excellent for a morning run. I was at the hotel for the Boulderthon Half Marathon. And there is no better place for race morning. Such an easy walk for the start and finish line. The Boulder's Farmer Market is also right next to the hotel. The room itself was clean, with enough space. At check in, I had a problem with my credit card, and I asked to postpone the payment to the next day. At check out, I needed a late check-out (so I could go straight from the hotel to the airport, without the need to store my luggage). Both requests were solved promptly. I was impressed by the friendly and helpfull staff. On the down side, WiFi was very slow and spotty. Defintely a place to consider for a visit in Boulder.

This place is sketchy looking from the outside… and for good reason!!! There are many homeless people camped out behind the hotel… and multiple unoccupied buildings. The location however is fantastic… lots of places to eat, especially on Pearl St. just a 10min walk from the hotel… The University is just up the road. As for the rooms… We had a King Room. Very small not room for more than 2 people… the room looks to have been remodeled; and looks very nice. The bed is hard, but not completely uncomfortable. The Pool…. First off when we made the reservation we asked if the Pool was working; They assured us it was… Keep in mind this Pool is outdoors.. It took me a few minutes to figure out the gate system…. I took one step inside the Pool area and quickly retreated… the Pool was covered in leaves on the top of the water and the visual filter at the bottom of the Pool had black nasty stuff surrounding it. Unless you are comfortable with all this then I guess you might enjoy your stay. WE DID NOT!!!

Good location, 5 minutes walk to downtown and Univercity, There was a homeless encampment on the way to Pearl Street. We didn't feel comfortable returning to the hotel at night. The room was of decent size, comfortable bed, friendly staff, free parking.

Would definitely stay again. Rooms were very clean. Good location, 3 blocks from Pearl Street. Staff was very pleasant and friendly. Nothing fancy but room was comfortable. A bit dark- could use brighter bulbs or another lamp. Overall, was happy with the Inn.

This is an old-school motor inn that was renovated a couple years ago with a modern touch. We had our kids and dogs with us (2 of each, no problem) and the room (#107) was perfect -- its a suite. Clean, great bed, plenty of hot water. We didn't use it, but the pool looked nice. Walking distance to HOLY CREPE!, an awesome spot for (you guessed it) crepes and plenty of restaurants and bars and shops up Broadway (uphill going but not bad), as well as the University and Boulder HS (right behind). Did see a few homeless camps behind the building and in the park around the corner, so I opted to leave my car empty of personal belongings. No issues. Its on a very busy road, but sets off it enough and the rooms are separated by the parking lot, so noise was NOT an issue at all. Would totally stay here again.
