Love this place. Close to town, great bar and the rooftop hot tub overlooking the mountains is a bonus! The place is stylish and minimalist so I liked it.

I don't like giving bad reviews but this place is absolutely ridiculous. Glorified dorm rooms at an expense price. Absolutely nowhere to put your luggage OR your clothes. No dressers, nor a closet. So where do you put your clothes & luggage? All over the floor like in my pictures. Scratchy sheets on bed. What they say is a pool is a hot tub. The topper is that the rate started at $1100 for 2 nights- Saturday & Sunday night. The rate kept going down & I kept cancelling and rebooking to get better price. Ended up paying $700 total but still way too much for what it is. Don't believe the pictures on their site. The lobby is the only nice thing about this place. We will never stay at a Moxy hotel again & I will always double check Trip Advisor. To call themselves a Marriott they really need to up their game to justify those prices. I don't mine paying more for a nice quality room, and I wouldn't complain about a room at a budget hotel. But this was actually more expensive than the Brown Palace in Denver which is part of the Autograph Collection.

Definitely the best Moxy we have ever stayed in. It is very well appointed with an upscale vibe and friendly staff. It’s a twenty minute walk to Pearl street, so a reasonable location if you can handle it. Hotel parking is not cheap if you have a car. Not a whole lot of amenities but they did have sparkling water in the lobby, which was very spacious and relaxing. Breakfast options were tasty.

We stayed here for my son‘s freshman orientation at CU Boulder. It is directly across the street from campus, a very easy walk to everything. The lobby is open and welcoming, with a large outdoor patio area. We had lunch and breakfast there, which was delicious! We loved the never-ending M&M‘s in the lobby. The beds were comfortable, housekeeping, staff, attentive, and front desk, staff super polite. The cost for a room varies greatly, depending on college activities. We would choose to stay here whenever we can, but probably not worth the $700 a night price tag it inflates to during peak times.

This was my first experience with a Moxy hotel, and I hope it’ll be my last. While the manager described it as a "baby hotel" still working through its growing pains, the prices are firmly in the "grown-up" category, leaving little room for excuses. While the Moxy Boulder has some appealing elements, the overall experience was disappointing due to poor design, rushed construction, and operational shortcomings. At the price point they’re charging, basic expectations like comfortable rooms, functional amenities, and smooth operations should be a given. Until these “teething problems” are resolved, I’d recommend looking elsewhere for your stay in Boulder. **Rooms: A Minimalist Concept That Falls Flat** The Moxy’s value proposition didn’t work for me. The emphasis seems to be on a trendy lobby rather than functional, comfortable rooms. Here’s what you get (or don’t get) in the rooms: * Underwhelming breakfast: The selection was limited, with no cereal, yogurt, or fruit—just a few savory items. For the price, I expected something more akin to the lovely breakfast buffet you’d find at, say, an Embassy Suites. * Scant storage: No cupboards, just a row of pegs with only four hangers supplied. * Few amenities: No iron, fridge, or microwave. Want hot water? You’ll need to trek to the lobby and carry it back. Want an iron? You’ll need to find the well-hidden communal supply closet. * Questionable comfort: Synthetic bedding that felt sweaty and uncomfortable. * No curtains: Blackout blinds only—no sheer curtains. You’re forced to choose between natural light and privacy. * Fire alarm: A blinking in-room fire alarm directly above the bed makes restful sleep difficult. * Air conditioning: The thermostat allows you to set the temperature to 65°F, but the room never gets cooler than 67°F—a limitation apparently set for the entire hotel. * Usability issues: The shower head is mounted so high (6'7" at its lowest point) that it’s inaccessible for anyone under 5'2". The room’s light switches are confusing, and the bathroom lights aren’t even controlled by the so-called “master switch” at the entrance. (I never figured out what the other entrance switch did.) **Kudos Where Due** Not everything was bad. Here are a few highlights: * Lighting and Windows: The in-room lighting was excellent, and the large windows with high ceilings were a nice touch. * Elevator Service: With only three floors, the two elevators were fast and efficient. * Retro Touches: I appreciated the notepad and pen provided in the room—a nostalgic throwback. The staff were generally kind and helpful. A few standout examples include: * A front desk clerk who promptly sent hangers and a mini-fridge after I mentioned their absence. * A housekeeping supervisor who patiently explained the light switches and directed me to a supply closet. * A maintenance engineer who made multiple visits to fix issues in my room. * A night desk clerk who brewed me fresh decaf coffee when none was available in th

We stayed here on to visit the university on one of the most gorgeous weekends in April. The location is phenomenal and so is the open air vibe in the lobby. Some of the nice touches are the free-drink tokens, very clean and well appointed gym, comfortable beds, and clean rooms. Also the food menu had healthy and reasonably-priced options. The down-sides were the room was so small and there was literally no place to put our carry-on suite cases. We had them open on the floor. The TV did not work, and honestly, I didn’t have the will to call down to get it fixed. The faux-wooden frame around the bed was torn and my daughter scraped her shin to a pulp. Despite this, we WILL be back, and I do recommend this place.
