Residence Inn Seattle Northeast/Bothell

I am updating my review to acknowledge that the hotel did ultimately resolve my issue in a satisfactory way. I do understand that the hotel industry, like airlines, overbooks as part of their business model. It just happened to be a stressful travel day and poor timing to draw the short straw. Original review: I booked this property months ago at a very handsome rate. Less than one hour before check-in I got an email saying they were overbooked and they did not have a room for us. They offered to put us up at a property 40 minutes away. What?? I chose the hotel for the location, and frankly, overlooked the lackluster reviews in doing so due to proximity. We had tickets to a concert nearby and the alternate location was not a viable option for us. They left us with no choice but to scramble and pay an absorbent, last-minute rate somewhere else. I travel a lot for work and leisure, and never have I been cancelled on last-minute by a property without a realistic alternative accommodation. This experience turned what should have been a fun day into a stressful mess. Thanks a lot.

The good: the front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful, the buildings and rooms are definitely dated but spacious and clean, the pool was chilly but also clean, and it was quiet at night. We stayed there to go to the winery nearby and the location was good for that, although there's not much else that is really close to it besides industrial/businesses. The not so good: the supposedly included breakfast - what a disaster. We arrived a half hour before it was supposed to end and it was completely cleared out. All of the hot food bins were totally empty, there were no clean plates or silverware and even the condiments were gone. There was cereal but no milk, a wafflemaker but no syrup, etc. and the few remaining breads and muffins were the only selections. The staff said there was more food coming but we waited until it ended and it never came. We ended up having to go out for breakfast. The hotel already seemed pretty pricey for what it was, so this felt like false advertising and a waste of time.

The new pictures shown are the results of a stay at this Marriott facility. I suffered significant flea and spider bites during our stay at this hotel resulting in several hundred dollars in medical bills and permanent scars on my feet and legs. The hotel management showed little sympathy. They simply changed our room and advised us to go find a clinic on our own to take care of the problem with the bites. None of our medical bills were reimbursed unless we signed a full-blown legal release letter promising the hotel to keep this experience hush hush and not pursue any legal action. We did not sign the release hence received no reimbursement. This is a bug infested, unclean “pet-friendly” hotel facility with a combative, unhospitable front desk management. The facility receives minimal maintenance or cleaning to cut corners on costs. The guest room cleaning is done only once a week and by prior reservation only. Our complaints and feedback to Marriott HQ were all simply rerouted to the front desk manager at the hotel location which in turn called it a “Closed Case”. We highly recommend not staying at this facility and choosing one of several other options within the same area. 非常糟糕的体验。穿了毛毛拖鞋，晚上感觉脚腕痒的不行，把鞋脱掉发现脚被跳骚咬成筛子。之后家人在地上铺了白色毛巾做瑜伽，发现毛巾上有跳骚在跳，晚上睡觉发现床上有蜘蛛。经协商换了房间，去医院好几百美金医药费，酒店要求我必须签署霸王条款协议，保证不在任何公众平台公布此事件任何信息，否则拒绝报销医药费。好歹也是万豪集团，格局能再“大”一点吗！

Was assigned a second floor room up a steep flight of stairs with no elevator and no one to help haul a heavy suitcase. The one bedroom unit was bare bones, minimal furnishings and just one tiny bar of soap. Breakfast was equally disappointing; no bananas, no fat free milk, powdered eggs,etc. No USA Today or other daily newspaper was available. Even though this is a suburban property in a residential area far from downtown, they still charge $12 a day for parking!

Terrible experience. The front desk staff is incredibly rude and the customer service is awful. I can't believe the way the staff treated me and my family. It's the worst I've been treated in a really long time. The property is old and in need of renovation. The only positive is that it's pretty clean so housekeeping seems to be doing well.

This place did the trick for an overnight stay but certainly wasn’t the cleanest. We found a lot of dust and cobwebs in the room and had to fix the toilet handle ourselves. The room was spacious but it was clear outside that many of the buildings were falling apart at the foundation. Breakfast was okay as were the staff. The rate was decent except they charge $5 for parking. Pretty much you need a vehicle to get to this place so why not just raise the room rate $5 to include parking. It just felt like we were being nickled and dimed and left a bad taste in our mouths.

I hate leaving not so great reviews, but feel compelled because we will not stay here again. 1. We specifically told them no stairs when we checked in. And they put us in a building that had steep stairs with no handrails! 2. The bed had a quilt and blankets that was too narrow to cover both of our bodies! We had to squish together for warmth and coverage. 3. The sheets were too worn. They had pilling that we could feel. 4. The blanket was so worn, it was scratchy and thousands of pill balls. And again, not wide enough for the bed! 5. Very inadequate coffee service. Only two regular packets that didn’t make even 2 cups of decent coffee. And the one tiny powdered cream packet wasn’t even enough for one cup!

We really like residence Inn, and all the Marriott properties. This one was dated and needs refreshing. No bottled water, tub not functioning properly, ran out of hot water….queen bed was old….all in disappointing. We recommend finding a different hotel nearby.
