Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Bossier City

I'll start by saying, both on the phone and in person at the hotel - terrible customer service. When booking this hotel I was excited to utilize my points from the rewards program and even reached out to rewards customer service before I booked and was told that we would be able to upgrade our room when we arrived by asking the person during check in. But when we checked in was told we could not because it was an online reservation. When we called rewards customer service again they essentially said there was nothing they could do. I wanted to upgrade the room because it wouldn't let me book a larger room with my points and the only room available took with points was incredibly small ( I guess now we understand the name MICROtel). In the room there were patches of drywall that weren't painted, outlets that didn't work, and the worst water pressure in the shower that I've ever experienced. Deciding to just use the hotel as a place to sleep and not relax and lounge since we were in town visiting family, we did our best to get some rest. That is until, at one point while we were asleep the fire alarm went off, just for a moment, long enough to wake us up, then turned off. Ultimately after a couple frustrating nights, the final straw that broke us was returning after a day hanging out with family in the humid heat, we came back to the A/C unit not functioning. We immediately decided to check out 4 days early and finding different accommodations elsewhere. Needless to say, we absolutely will not be returning to the Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Bossier City.

The bed was comfortable, the room was overall clean, I don’t have any complaints besides that I wish they had put a mat in the bathroom and a rubber grip mat in the tub itself or something just because I almost slipped. It was dangerous. However, I used a towel instead but outside of that it was a pleasant stay for the short time I was there.

The room needs a padded chair for relaxing, or a loveseat/couch
