Just like the description says, an upscale motor lodge. All of it was brand new. Rooms were nice. There is a ***** mall a few block over with several food options. There are a few hang out spots, 1 in the lobby and another outside. Would stay again! Cool concept.

This is a fantastic hotel/motor lodge in the High Country! Fully renovated with a cool retro vibe! Rooms were extremely comfortable; staff were friendly and the location in Boone was super-convenient to everything. Highly recommended!

Lovely hotel from the outside and the inside. Beautiful firepit out front. A restaurant that gets great reviews (we didn’t have time to try it). Basic room with everything you need that’s decorated very well. The bed was very comfortable to us. The bathroom is large and has a large countertop and walk in shower. I liked the moisturizer and hand soap. The towels were nice and included a black makeup hand towel. We had joined the Stash points program before our stay and got over 1700 points for our one night. The restaurant serves brunch on weekends, lunch everyday and dinner. There’s also a bar. Our timing didn’t allow us to try either but they both get good reviews. We will be going back so we can explore the area and stay at Rhodes Motor Losge again.

Great motel . They have remodeled from top to bottom and sits back on a hill behind the very busy road thru Boone. The restaurant is very good.

Lovingly renovated older motel. Great aesthetic. Parking for the front rooms is challenging because restaurant patrons do not care about the people paying a substantial rate for their rooms. It would be a good idea to reserve one space per room. But that's not likely to happen. It's a good place to stay but the front rooms are also noisy, especially the ones near the restaurant--which is amazing.

Just know what you are getting when you stay here. If you are used to staying in Courtyards and Hamptons, like me, you probably aren’t going to like this place very much. If you want something different and hip, and don’t plan to spend much time in your room, it’ll be good. Pros: Clean Helpful staff Parking your car literally outside your room makes loading easy Very good location in Boone, easy in and out Nice patio for relaxing Very quiet! Cons: Nowhere to sit in the room other than a bean bag chair Shower doesn’t have a door. Water goes everywhere. The hard floors are reallllly cold No cable TV. I just wanted to watch a game on ESPN. I don’t think we’ll stay here again, but it’s a personal preference thing and not against the quality of the hotel itself.

This was a fun stay on our road trip! I loved the vintage vibe yet with a modern twist. I was hoping to stay in a motor lodge and this place was perfect. Great restaurant as well. We stayed just to have lunch there before we started back in the road. The food was so good!
