We just stayed here for two wonderful days in August 2023. I wish it could have been longer! We are Americans and came to the area to visit the Monet Gardens in Giverny and this was the perfect location for us. Le Bois aux Cerfs is perfect for families with active kids or for couples on a romantic getaway! Each "room" is it's own cottage, so very special, clean and modern. The compound is walled and has a gate, so no outsiders can walk thru. With a pool, a hot tub (spa), games, a quiet lounge for reading... you can spend hours just enjoying the secluded property! Your day starts off with a great breakfast, coffee, tea, juice & fresh eggs from the chickens! The hosts Nathalie and Olivier are some friendly and helpful, they added so much to our stay in the area. If you are American and this looks like a new experience.... It IS and so worth it, you will enjoy it here. For locals from Belgium, Germany, or France, this is a prefect resort for a getaway, either alone or with the kids. Last but not least... the bed is very comfortable !!

Très bon accueil de la part des hôtes. La chambre est très confortable, la salle de bain est propre. Le petit déjeuner est servi dans un cadre super agréable et est copieux. Nous avons pu profiter de la piscine et du jacuzzi (très relaxant !) Nous recommandons !!

Heerlijke dagen gehad in le bois aux cerfs, super fijne accommodatie, goed bed en heel erg schoon! Het is heerlijk zwemmen in het iets zoutige water van het zwembad, het water is warm, erg goed voor reuma patiënten. Ook het ontbijt was super lekker, vers fruit en geheel geschild in schattige glaasjes geserveerd. Daarbij nog yoghurt en super vers en lekker brood met eigengemaakte jam. Bovenal viel ons de interesse en zeer vriendelijkheid van Olivier ons op. Al met al een dikke 10!

Maison d’hôtes bucolique avec une petit piscine agréable, quelques animaux. Un vrai havre de paix. Hôtes charmants et bienveillants 🙂 un bon plan qu’on voudrait presque cacher… mais ils méritent cet avis. On regrette juste que les hôtes aient dû se séparer des paons et que les oreillers soient un peu trop épais.

Je m'étais fiée aux avis Google avant de réserver, mais quelle déception ! Deux nuits à 500 €, et avec les avis plutôt positifs, nous nous attendions à un séjour de rêve. Malheureusement, cela ressemblait davantage à un cauchemard. La chambre était infestée d'araignées (nous en avons compté 25, et pas des petites), avec des toiles un peu partout, notamment sous les lits + traces moissisures. J'ai signalé le problème dès le lendemain, mais la personne du gîte n'a pas pris ma remarque au sérieux. "C'est la campagne". "Heu non clairement 25, là c'est le ménage !" De plus, elle n'est pas agréable et avec une attitude de quelqu'un qui ne veut pas du feed back. Un autre point à noter : si vous arrivez un vendredi soir, attendez-vous à une réception expéditive, car apparemment, il y a un marché local et elle n'a pas le temps d'attendre. Bref, passez votre chemin !
