I booked an all-inclusive package for four nights, two nights in a sand house and two nights in a water house. The price is above average in Maldives, and it's worth the money. The island is not big, and the facilities are complete. There is a free boat trip to the sea for snorkeling once a day. In fact, you can snorkel in the lagoon, and you don't need to go out to the sea. The food will change every day, but after three days, I still have no appetite, so I ate the Shin Ramen I brought with me.
You can take aerial photos, and the sunrise and sunset are beautiful.

Overall the resort is excellent. One of the highlights was the beach BBQ via Aqua Restaurant. Superb seafood and excellent service. Special mention for Ristya who made sure we wanted for nothing.

Wow, what a place. This was a 10/10 experience, 5* and truly paradise. The island is small, yet it manages to always feel secluded and private. We had a spacious sunset water villa and I'd highly recommend it for the experience, especially the sealife. We saw turtles, nursing sharks, sting rays, etc. It's just wonderful. The staff are attentive and friendly. The hotel runs so well you can't see all the goings on behind the scenes! Just magical. Reef snorkelling was great and I'd highly recommend the sushi and surf night every Friday. We would go back in a heartbeat. Thank you to everyone who made our stay so special.

We had an amazing vacation at this resort! The beach was beautiful, the rooms very clean and comfortable, and the whole place well maintained. All staff members were super friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent – special thanks to our waiter Hussain, who was extremely kind, attentive, and professional. We also enjoyed the spa: Pande gave us great advice, and the masseuses Mila and Rani were fantastic – very skilled, friendly, and caring. Highly recommended!

The resort is a lovely place with plenty of activities to enjoy. The buffet at the main restaurant is excellent, offering a wide variety of delicious options. The water villa was truly worth the experience, and everything was spotless. We came for our honeymoon and really felt the authentic Maldivian atmosphere throughout our stay. The staff are extremely kind and always ready to help. A few things to keep in mind: • If you’re a smoker, bring your own cigarettes, as they are very expensive on-site. • The Aqua restaurant doesn’t offer as many choices compared to the main buffet. Personally, I found the buffet to be much better value, and it can help you save money. Otherwise, dining costs can add up quickly, and depending on the length of your stay, you might end up with a surprisingly large bill.

My husband and I spent our honeymoon at Barceló Whale Lagoon Maldives in December 2024. This was our first trip to the islands, and we were full of anticipation. It truly exceeded all our expectations, leaving us with the most wonderful memories!
A special shout-out goes to the staff – waiters Poodja, Zayan, and Akhim, along with bartender Harsha, who were consistently attentive, friendly, and provided first-class service. Their exceptional care made us feel truly special.
The island itself is incredibly peaceful and secluded, the beaches are pristine, and the villas are new, spacious, with daily housekeeping. To celebrate our honeymoon, we received a wonderful complimentary package: two dinners (a special Honeymoon dinner and an à la carte dinner) along with a massage. This was such a lovely and much-appreciated gesture! 💕
My husband specifically wanted to highlight the high-quality alcoholic beverages. 😊 The dining venues were superb. Nothing but positives! 😚
The only thing to note is that if you're specifically visiting for snorkeling, the reef here isn't as vibrant as in some other Maldivian locations. However, for a tranquil getaway and stunning views, it's an excellent choice.
We were more than pleased with our stay and wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking tranquility, beauty, and high-quality service in the Maldives. 💙

Overall an amazing experience. We managed to enjoy and snorkel in front of our sunset water villa. There were even sharks at night! Karan has been fetching us from our room to wherever we want on island. He is very friendly and we had a good time chatting and sharing about each other.
