Nice place for couples , tasty food, clean place and spacious rooms

Good ..

First time in Bodrum' beautiful place and most of the other hotels look decent so I would try elsewhere if I return. Issues- 1. Our complimentary drinks in our room were not topped up for 2 days, and was only topped up only after complaining to reception staff. 2. In snack bar - on 3 consecutive days we were told there is only burgers available on the first day and then on 2nd and 3rd day they had no pizzas, even though we were there within the opening hours. On top of that, a few of the staff were being disrespectful and laughing at us when we tried to raise the issue. Personally that shouldn't be acceptable from your staff. We did complain to reception and hotel relations who did listen and noted down some of our issues. No Managers to be seen. 3. Offered to refund the last 2 days of our stay doesn't really fix the issue for us after we have already spent most of our holiday here and paid for an 'Ultra All Inclusive' service which we haven't been provided with, more like half board. Also I'd have to pay for an extra night if I left that instant which I wasn't willing to do. 4. We did ask to speak to Zeynep (Manager) but she was dealing with another issue at the time when we complained on the Friday 8th August. No time was advised when she would be available when we asked again a little while later. Never actually spoke to a Manager in the whole time we was there. 5. My son and pregnant wife went hungry due to the limited kid food choices at Btrakfast, Linch and Dinner times. No room service which didn't help things especially as its mentioned as a service on your website so wife went hungry on the night unless she went downstairs to the lobby bar to eat there, which she couldn't as she had swollen feet due to pregnancy. Which is not your fault I know. Maybe allow some flexibility when customer is pregnant and I mentioned this to staff who didn't care either. Lastly my son saw poo by the kiddies pool at around 2pm as he was about to jump in, not sure how long that was there for but guess what no staff round to sort that out. Overall this holiday was a complete disaster. The view from the room was nice but you get that view from all the hotels. Not 1 night was there any kids entertainment or activities and nothing in the day either. Been to Turkey 5 times now. Previous 4 times the cheaper hotels delivered with great experience so not sure what's gone wrong at Salmakis. Management letting the place down in my opinion and that filters down to the staff as you'd expect. Half the staff were nice and friendly so not all bad. I'll attach photos of the mess left outside my room for a few days and the poo..l pics just so ypu know this is genuine.

Overall, great value for money. We had a lovely relaxing holiday. Good: Location is gorgeous and you can get the water taxi into Bodrum which is lovely. Amazing views (we paid for a sea view upgrade and it was worth it - view from 620 is stunning!) Choice of food - mostly (and no dodgy bellies) All inclusive means everything including cocktails so we did not go hungry or thirsty! Staff are lovely and wonderful with our little one Pool area is lovely and clean, indoor pool too (did not try) Private beach Never any issue getting a sunbed anywhere Gym is pretty good (there are spa facilities too) Cheesecake in reception bar Clean pool towels everyday Room cleaning - mostly (more sweeping than properly mopping) General relaxed nature of the hotel Could be improved: Lots of flies on tables when eating.. think they need to wipe tables properly with fresh cloth and anti-bac spray! Hotel cats watching you eat your dinner (even when sitting inside) Beach could be swept/cleaned more. When the tide goes a certain direction it brings up plastic/fag butts. A beach clean should be carried out every morning Occasionally food got a bit samey and weird (cold chips at breakfast?) but sometimes also good. We travelled at the end of the season so was not expecting perfection and had a wonderful holiday :-)
