"Typical Swedish tree Spartan in terms of the small rooms and tiny bathrooms. Minimal furnishings, no minibar or safe. Impeccably clean, unlike other hotels. A generous breakfast selection, except for cold cuts (only 3 options). There's no garage/reserved parking, which is a major handicap, especially in winter when finding a free spot (which becomes available from 6:00 PM until 9:00 AM) might require walking hundreds of meters through snow and 16-minute winds. A paid option is offered for 90 kronor per day, but I don't know where this facility is located."

"A great place to visit to get away and be part of nature. The rooms are unique and fun, and very well done. Be advised that there's a good walk to get to them (including some good uphills, so it's not for everyone), but we really liked the room and how environmentally sensitive it was. There's also some really good hiking right from the hotel, and they helped arrange some really good kayaking tours for us too. The highlight of our visit though was the tasting menu that the chef prepared for us. It was a vegetarian tasting menu, so something very different. It was amazing! The presentation was fantastic and the use of local, in season foods was fantastic and delicious - he's clearly incredibly talented and we were very lucky and appreciative of his work. Definitely try it. Our only negative, and we understand the balance, but it's an intimate type place - we loved that about it - it would be great if it was adults only - having a quiet meal with your partner is great until kids start running around and making more noise than desired. But don't let that taint you. We loved the visit, would definitely go back, and definitely do the tasting menu!"
