Holiday Inn Express & Suites Bluffton @ Hilton Head Area

The front desk was always pleasant and very friendly. Their breakfast was hot; however, it was hard to get any food because of children running back and forth. A good idea would have a sign up to have children under age 12 to be accompanied by adults. Other than that we would stay here again.

Hubby & I stayed here for 4 nights, free parking, breakfast was included, housekeeping service every day, staff was nice & polite. There is a Target in the parking lot & Walmart right around the corner. Close to gas station, restaurants also.

This hotel was amazing’ From the front desk to the breakfast to the room itself. Close by everything - target, Walmart, and Tanger outlets. 20 minutes from the beach

Good - Tanisha and Michael were as helpful as possible in addressing the hotel's lack of bug maintenance and resulting customer concerns. The Worst - Sherrel, her accompanying team member, and the consulting GM, Kyle Reilly, the following evening, were unapologetically rude and unprofessional in resolving challenges faced by IHG Rewards Member, including: *Cockroaches flying in the room upon first night arrival at bedtime *Not providing acceptable accommodations that night or the following day; in fact, they downgraded the reservation to a room with 60 fewer cable channels, less space, and smelled like cheap cologne. *Rude and unprofessional staff hanging up on the customer when calling in advance of the 2nd night's return to handle the matter. *Projecting frustration at the front desk because the customer insisted on having a final resolution (another room change) so that a satisfactory night's stay could be reached. *Being told that your concerns are not appropriate in front of guests checking in and will not be addressed until GM returns on Monday (during the guest's check-out date). *Having your reservation cancelled a day early based on the incompetence and inability to problem solve. ***And the worst of it --- Providing the wrong contact info for the GM. Recommendation: An apology and a full refund. Unfortunately, staff are only a reflection of their leadership, so perhaps start with top-down staffing changes, and finally, increased training and quality assurance in conflict resolutions and problem-solving. This is a very nice Holiday Inn, especially given their very reasonable room rates. Excellent location. The rooms are large, well maintained and well designed with a desk, very ample storage place with a closet and 5 large drawers, a couch, a medium-sized refrigerator, a microwave, a coffee pot and a small safe. There were adequate outlets for devices. The bed was large and comfortable. The bathroom was large. The towels were rough (really the only negative). The breakfast was better than expected with multiple hot and cold options. The biscuits were delicious. Housekeeping was prompt, efficient. Although some of the afternoon front desk staff weren't pleasant or welcoming, the evening and early AM desk staff were very nice. Also nice were texts, presumably from desk staff, asking me how I was enjoying my stay. This was an overall very pleasant visit. Holiday Inn has upped their game. I would stay here again.

Wonderful stay. First time being in SC and the room was always clean and the staff approachable and more than helpful.
