Cliff Dwellers Inn

If you are expecting a Marriott/Hilton property, this place is not for you. Yes, it is old school. Not the most up to date but very clean and the view is much better than staying in town. Very quiet. It is just the two of us so this time we are staying in the lower apartment. Comfortable living area, the full kitchen is a great bonus if you want to get dinner from the Food Lion next door or take out.. Looking forward to coffee on the Trex gazebo in the morning. Comes with your choice of a coffee pot or Keurig machine. This is our third stay.

This is a great hidden gem! I called to let them know we would be arriving after the office would be closed, but they left everything for us and wanted us to call when we got there to make sure we got everything ok. They were very friendly and helpful. The room was great-clean, big and had everything we needed. We will definitely keep this place in mind the next time we need to stay overnight in the Boone/Blowing Rock area.

The accommodation is out of the central business (tourist) area but very easy to drive to and from. Great view from the deck and ecen though it overlooks a main road the traffic noise was minimum. Parking is just aoutside your room door. Room was clean and tidy and plently of sitting options inside and out on the deck. The deck was great for a morning and afternoon coffee.

Excellent room with a beautiful hot tub. We got the little apartment and the rate was very reasonable. Conveniently, the keys were left in the mailbox when we got there a little late. Check in and check out we're seamless. Beautiful view of the mountains in a very clean and fresh room. Everything worked beautifully. Owner set us up with ice, air conditioning going, some lights and the t v's all on and ready for use for our arrival. If ever back in that area come up, it is a must.

We had a great stay here! First, the staff was very nice and helpful and pleasant to speak with on the the phone. The manager helped us out with our expected late arrival to make sure we could get into the room. Even though the Inn is right on Route 321, it sits high above it on a Cliff (Just like the name) so you have the convenience of being right nest to 321 without hearing the noise. The room we stayed in Room 309 was amazing. It's a 2 queen room that's part of a separate building that only has one other room plus a kitchen so it's really like renting part of a house. It has a ton of space and there's a great view of the mountains that you can enjoy from the deck right next to the room. Staying in Blowing Rock helped us avoid the higher nightly hotel cost in nearby Boone and it was also very convenient to restaurants we could enjoy when we arrived that night. It was also closer to where we wanted to park in the Boone Fork Parking Lot for our hike at Grandfather Mountain the next day. The only reason we didn't leave a 5 star rating is because the mattresses and box springs in Room 309 need to be replaced. They moan and crack if you make even the slightest movement in either of the queen beds. The management there is very responsive so I'm sure they'll do something to correct the situation.

Nice private deck but unable to use due to rain. Room was nice and bed comfortable but AC was cheap and very noisy residential window unit. Had to turn off to get any sleep. If you plan to stay here do it during the week. Rates are a lot cheaper then.
