Breakfast is not really included as such. Only the continental buffet. This is cereal, fruits, cereal bars, baked items and a large selection of cakes, including mince pies, which was odd for breakfast. The hot breakfast requires a surcharge to be paid, something I’ve never experienced before. The full English would be best described as part English breakfast, with no sausages, tomatoes, or mushrooms included which is a bit of an insult when you’re paying a surcharge. I can’t fault the service, or anything else, but this felt a bit naughty to be doing.

Stayed for 2 nights in room 3 which was spotlessly clean. Bathroom looked fairly new and bedroom was lovely we had a double and a single, tea coffee facilities, wardrobe, nice little chalet type rooms which were really cool at night considering we were there during very hot weather. You have your own parking space too. Lovely outside space and amazing views. Breakfast continental style and toast offered. Very nice. You can also pay extra for full English etc. We ate at the hotel both nights the food was delicious and really good portion size too. The staff very attentive. Great base for visiting the surrounding beautiful area, would stay again.

We enjoyed our short stay whilst visiting Alton Towers for the firework weekend event. Travel to and from the park was only 15 minutes by car. The staff were fabulous and very helpful. They were happy to arrange meals when we got back late from the fireworks. The food was traditional pub cuisine, home cooked and tasty. I would thoroughly recommend the stay here and will book again.

What a lovely, friendly place to stay. We had an inclusive dinner and continental breakfast deal. The food was delicious and freshly prepared. There was lots to choose from at breakfast including baked goods. You could upgrade to a cooked breakfast for less than £10. All the staff we encountered were warm, friendly and really helpful. We very much felt that they wanted us to have a lovely stay. The accommodation was self-contained chalets with unsuite bathrooms. Everywhere was clean. A great find!

Great experience! The breakfast is definitely something to wife home about it was really good and there’s a fair choice of alternatives, including vegan and vegetarian. I didn’t go for dinner as I was out with friends but I would bet it’s just as good. The room was super comfortable and spotless and there’s a big bath available to relax in also the shower is a nice one, the bed was so comfortable that even though I suffered with insomnia I slept like a log! 100% recommend staying here.

We stayed here over 20 years, not sure it's been decorated since. Rooms very poor, no wardrobe, everything is in poor condition. Looks like 2nd world war temporary accommodation blocks. Food was dreadful, garlic mushrooms actually tasted OK but mushrooms were so chewy, I assume they were very old. Beef chlii was the worst I have ever had and wet soggy rice, I would say the nachos were nice

We went here saturday night for a family meal for 8 of us. We all really enjoyed the food, it was lovely. The portions were a very generous size, quality was good. The host was such a lovely guy, came over and chatted which I always think is a lovely touch. The girls and guys serving were excellant..I can't recommend this place enough, it is a must. We will go back in the future.

Beautiful views, amazing building We stayed over in our camper, the area was fine for just an overnight stopover. Before our meal we had a drink outside, the tables were dirty and the slabs below the tables were loose and totally unsafe. The conservatory area was bright and looked clean, the interior restaurant was dark and dingy and very noisy, The evening meal was ok pub grub the breakfast was really good. Excellent choice of cold buffet and a really good full English
