Hampton Inn and Suites by Hilton Bloomfield Hills Detroit

Great property, but breakfast is less than desirable. We stay at this hotel often, as it is right next door to my medical clinic that I visit annually. The rooms are outstanding. Unfortunately, the breakfasts are consistently bad. The last visit, the bananas were both green and spotted, the cheese omelets were cold, the cereal was in mismarked bins, the oatmeal was runny and there were hardly any other offerings. Soooo unlike Hampton. The sad part is, it is like that every visit. We’ve just decided to figure in that we are going to grab breakfast elsewhere.

Our room's air conditioning was not working and our stay was in the middle of summer. This meant the room was muggy and warm at all times. We asked to change rooms but none were available. By the second day, they sent someone to fix the A/C but there wasn't much he could do according to him. We were never comfortable throughout our stay. The towels were another situation, apparently the washer/dryer in the hotel was not working so we were given pool towels that were in bad shape. I spoke to the front desk attendant about these problems and he promised to give me a partial refund, this has not happened. I have an event that brings me to the area annually, but I will not return to this property.

Newer construction, with Friendly staff upon arrival, comfortable room with nice bathrooms and decent breakfast

Good location for what we needed. Clean, quick checkin, good staff... nice option foe that area!
