From the beautiful entrance to the surrounding landscape, this is an outstanding place to stay. The HVAC system worked well and the front office is resplendent in a gorgeous (school color resembling) flower arrangement. The rooms are clean and colorful. It has nice sized flatscreens, a mini fridge, and Directv programming. Great staff. Very friendly and accommodating.

Have been going to the The Inn at VA Tech and Skelton Conf Ctr for more than 6+ yrs and WILL NOT stay anywhere else. The staff is OUTSTANDING, Friendly, Helpful and Always there to help. The food is great, the rooms - clean and comfy. If you haven't already joined the "Parents Club" do it now. Looking forward to my next visit.

I stayed at the in for a week while hosting a corporate training event in the conference center. While I’ve stayed at the Inn before, and was quite comfortable there, I was more than a little disappointed this time. When checking in, the person at the front desk mentioned that the “cable is not working, but the university is aware of the problem and working to fix it.” Not sure much “working” was going on. The cable was not fixed during my stay—it was as broken when I checked out as it was at check in. While I was annoyed by not being able to watch the news each morning, I was more bothered by the lack of transparency from the Inn and the series of conflicting stories I was told. While most of the front desk staff acknowledged the issue, one woman (who I spoke to in the phone) claimed not to know anything about the outage; gave me incorrect information about the General Manager, and promised to call me back with up-to-date information. Never heard back from her. I asked the bartender about the frozen screen in the bar, and she told me all about a series of bad tv’s that had been installed. One staff member told me “the service provider” would be onsite the next day. By then, I’d realized that it was all a series of lies and I just laughed. It seems like the management of the Inn has grown pretty complacent. Hand over your money, but don’t expect them to care about your experience

Great place to stay in Blacksburg
I love staying here. It’s always clean, neat, and the staff is friendly. The bar is stocked and the bartenders know me. What else to like?

The staff are excellent! Great reception welcome and check in. The room was very clean and spacious, with beautiful views of the grounds. Had pre dinner drinks at the bar — great ambience and service. Had the buffet breakfast—inexpensive for the quality on offer and the service was once again excellent. My new go to destination when at Virginia Tech.
