"Gardners Inn Hotel was so much more than we expected. My friends and I booked for 2 nights in a family room for 5. Although crowded (due to our own choice) the room somehow felt spacious anyway, and was high quality throughout. We were given a TV, the bathroom was great, and although the pictures online showed a more retro looking furnishing, when we arrived we were pleasantly surprised by how modern and clean the room was (spotless) for it's very reasonable price. There was a nice bistro just downstairs, along with a pub, designated smoking areas, a car park, and the hotel's right across the road from the train station. Overall I'd give this place a 10/10."

"This was such a unique and beautiful place to stay. It has a tranquil setting in a national park. The accommodation is first class and pristine. It is luxurious and very easy to relax in. The personsl service was also impeccable."

"This is a nice old house with a lovely garden and wrap-around verandahs extending around most rooms. But it is difficult to feel like a guest when there is no host on site - only other visitors. (Room keys are accessed through coded lock boxes.) This wouldn’t be so much a problem, except when breakfast supplies in the small kitchenette are depleted by 7am, there is no prospect of them being replenished quickly. I imagine that ‘guests’ would normally eat their self-serve continental breakfast at a table on the verandah overlooking the lovely garden; however in winter with the temperature close to freezing, the only option is to sit on your bed. There is no indoor dining space."
