Sheraton Birmingham Hotel

The service is really underwhelming. The menu is very limited though there are restaurants nearby. I checked in and went to the room only to find it faces the highway and you can hear every truck or car in need of repair - and given that it’s an actual highway there is a lot of traffic. Went back to the desk for another room and they obliged and put me on 12th floor - but facing the same highway. Went back to the desk for another room and they obliged with an “atrium” room on the 14th floor. Problem is that the door faces the atrium but the window - you guessed it - highway. I gave up. I sat down for breakfast and the waitress cleared my silverware and salt and pepper to give to another table. Who does that? Coffee in paper cups? Are you really saving money? Conveniently located but would give the Westin a try next time.

Everything was great from the time I arrived till I left. I spent a whole week there and never been to the city they made my stay amazing. John with parking was great! Everyday he made sure I didn’t need anything, would direct me to where I needed to go if I needed anything. Can’t wait to come back in March.

My wife and I stayed one night at the Sheraton Birmingham Hotel during a big concert weekend, so the place was buzzing with energy. The location could not be more convenient. It is right off the highway, close to downtown, and surrounded by a few solid restaurant options within walking distance. Check-in was smooth, and I appreciated the touch of free snacks and nonalcoholic drinks in the lobby for guests. The rooms looked freshly renovated, clean, and modern, with a more upscale feel than I expected. We decided to have dinner and drinks at the hotel bar, which turned out to be a great choice. The chicken pesto pizza was very good, and the bartenders were friendly and made an excellent old fashioned. Overall, Sheraton Birmingham delivered exactly what we needed for a comfortable stay in the middle of the action.
