We stayed at SpringHill Suites in downtown Birmingham and unfortunately had a rough experience. The first room we were given reeked of ****, but the front desk staff were friendly and quickly moved us to a new room. Later that night, we discovered the air conditioning in the second room wasn’t working, so once again, the front desk kindly helped us switch rooms. Parking was another challenge—the security arm for the garage wouldn’t open, so we couldn’t park inside. Luckily, since it was the weekend, we were able to find street parking. The elevators were also concerning—old and creaky, and each ride felt like a gamble. On the positive side, the location felt safe, and the staff were helpful and polite. That said, with the number of issues we faced, we’ll probably choose a different place next time.

The last renovation seemed to be poorly done. You can tell it’s an old property that was remodeled poorly. The room was decent enough. The toilet would start and stop all night. Breakfast was good in the morning and the hotel staff were great. I doubt I stay here again though.

Great hotel in downtown Birmingham.
Needed a last minute hotel that was inexpensive but nice in the downtown Birmingham Area, and this was a perfect choice. Right in the heart of Birmingham! This hotel was Great for the Family and I. Only thing I did not like was the parking situation we had to park on the street however the meter stopped running at 8 PM that night to 8 AM in the morning. We got up early enough to not have to pay the meter but the little parking that they do have is first come first serve. There is a parking garage, but we were not sure if they validated parking. Overall, a great stay and if you do have to park on the street it is very inexpensive. I believe it’s like a dollar for one hour.

It was overall a great stay .
The young lady at the front was about to get off at 3 but my encounter with her was pleasant .The bathroom was not what I expected I did not like the tub I prefer walk in showers.The hallway lobby an elevators where extremely hot . A the parking garage was off limits so I had to take my wheel chair bond husband a search for street parking .
