Hilton Birmingham Downtown at UAB

Traveled for medical reasons. We had an issue with room, but it was quickly resolved by stuff. Kinda pricey, but the location was within walking distance to hospital.

The hotel was clean and in a great location for the reason I was in Birmingham. It was near to the event that I was attending. The sink in my room had a stopper that prevented the water from escaping when I did not want it to collect in the sink during activities such as brushing my teeth and washing my face. The water was also cold and took an excessively long time to heat up even a little bit. It was not even lukewarm. Therefore, I checked out and was unable to shower. My son actually took a cold shower on a cold day, one of the coldest that we have had in Alabama in a while. I was also awakened by an emergency message and alarm to vacate the building due to an emergency only to learn later that it was a test. I learned this when the fire truck arrived and I heard an employee apologizing for not calling them to let them know that it was only a test. I only stayed overnight so there was no other opportunity for me to get a better impression. The only reason that I did not give a lower rating for the facilities is because once I reported the issue with the shower and sink, they sent a handy man to the room to make the repairs, but my son was already taking a cold shower at the time since we were scheduled to get back home to meet previously scheduled obligations. The staff person who was checking me out said that she couldn't do anything for me because I booked through a third party. However, she did state that she would refund the money that I paid for parking.

A special Thanksgiving message of appreciation: Reginald and Tracy were incredibly helpful when I called to report that I had left my Kuhl jacket somewhere in the conference room or at Starbucks. As soon as I landed back in Texas, I was greeted with a message from Reginald letting me know it had been recovered. They even followed up with another call to confirm it was recovered and happily arranged to have it shipped back to me. Tracy texted me the tracking details the very next day, just as promised. I’m so incredibly grateful! I have never experienced hotel staff going so far out of their way to take care of me. I’m a very loyal Titanium member with Marriott and have no status with Hilton, yet during my stay for a work conference, they treated me as if I were top-tier. Thank you, Reginald, Tracy, and the entire team, for your exceptional service and kindness from start to finish. It truly made my Thanksgiving season brighter.

Heyyy I stay this weekend and Erika had great cn service and Elijah made the best breakfast, I’ll like dem to be my cook n server Dey did a excellent job

I stayed this Month and Erika was my service and Elijah make good breakfast every morning and Erika did good at her job and the room was the best

Taylor did a superb job at check in. The hotel was nicely re done from the last time I had stayed over a year ago. Very good restaurant in the basement
