Checked in albeit one hour early at 3:00pm and were offered a second-floor room, we accepted the offer and proceeded to our room, as we had been driving on the interstate and were ready to take showers and relax. The water pressure to the second floor is low and the shower head leaks because of the handle. The shower gel dispenser was 90 % empty, one of the coffee cups was noticeably chipped, the microwave carousel is not the original manufacturer's, there was no dishwashing detergent nor sponge, and finally the curtain that divides the stting area from the bed was entirely missing. Having paid north of $250.00, we are beyond disappointed. Oh, and the duvet and bed sheets are for a Queen-sized bed not a King. Having stayed in Home2suites during cross-country trips, this has been the most disappointing stay to date.

Stayed here 4 nights for the NCAA Women’s basketball regional tournament. Convenient location for us. We walked back and forth to Legacy Arena each day. Walking distance to Publix and restaurants. Breakfast bar was good, numerous good choices. Room was large and we enjoyed having the big refrigerator, kitchen sink and counter space. Comfortable bed and quiet room. The shower was a little small but was fine for us. Would definitely stay here again. Staff were always kind and helpful.

Facility was beautiful and the room clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. However, the staff needs better training. 1. At breakfast, an employee, speaking LOUDLY from the first word, ask for my room number. I assumed she was talking to the man right in front of her. Since I saw my husband already sitting with his breakfast, I moved toward him. She again loudly ask for my room number. I walked over to her and quietly said I’d prefer not saying my room number across a crowded room. She said “Well you walked right past me!” 2. Check out is at noon. Since I was going to be driving till midnight, I was going to rest till 11:00. But starting at around 9:30am, an employee was saying “housekeeping” repeatedly and again in a high volume. I exited my room at 10:00,(since there was no chance for resting). I can’t be positive, but from the back, it looked like the same lady as from breakfast.

I was in Alabama to visit some of the civil rights sites. I stayed at this property which consisted of two different hotels: The Home2Suites and Hilton Garden Inn. I stayed at the Home2 Suites for 1 night and then went to Montogomery and then came back and stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn. The combined property is located downtown and is modern and has a new feel. It's very close to bars and restaurants and even close to a Publix supermarket. It is convenient to the University of Alabama Birmingham. There is a restaurant but I did not eat there. The Home2Suites has all suites where you get a separate sitting area. During my stay at the Home2Suites I was able to go to the nearby bars and restaurants. I would stay there again.

I'm leaving a 5-star review because there is not an option to give a 10-star review. I would like to give a 10-star review because of the actions of Nekea B., a receptionist at this hotel. Recently, my wife and I stayed at this hotel, and I accidentally left my cell phone lying on top of the front desk while checking it. I then proceeded to my room, not realizing that I had left my phone at the front desk. Nekea secured the phone, then proceeded to find me and return the phone. The loss of my phone would have been a disaster. I do not have the words adequate to express my appreciation to Nekea, and this hotel. Thank you so, so much.

This hotel is terrible. I got there right before midnight and nobody was answering the door. I was able to get in because one of the guests got there a few minutes later. I fund in the morning a used bandaid under the bed, a death crocarach in the aile before my door, the swimming pool had green algue. If I happen to see this before I go to sleep I could had asked them to clean before I sleep there.
