Americinn by Wyndham Birch Run/Frankenmuth

Clean, the “balcony” room we paid for is not an actual balcony it’s just an outside walkway. Breakfast was decent. The bar is POPPIN at night!

Upon arrival we were checked in by a young man. They had a shift change so while I moved my truck and came back in a lady was at the counter. I asked her about where Peter Lawrence was who used to run that hotel. To my surprise she kept trying to direct me into different activities in the local town. I was very familiar with all of this as my family myself and my friends have used this Hotel many times. We love Frankenmuth. I was able to find out much later from someone else, that Peter was deceased unfortunately and that was why he was not there. What a great loss. The room was was good and clean however the restroom did not work maintenance came in and fixed the problem and we were grateful. Early morning is check out I understand you cannot control loud people in the Halls. The breakfast was average the lady Regina was wonderful and made sure that everyone was well fed and taken care of and I hope she is recognized. They do have an indoor pool that I did not use this time but it is nice. The lobby is nice well maintained and I love how they kept the old piano. They used to have a bar that is no longer in service, that's really too bad. I remember locals coming to the bar after work and it was just really nice to speak with them. A lot of things have changed over time and I don't think that will be back.

Bathroom sink did not have plug. Bathroom faucet had weak pressure. Faucet was a spray style which is not good. Had to change rooms because refrigerator was not working.

Better food options. New bedding since sheets had holes. Clean bathrooms better. Elevator for guests!

The room was super clean amd comfortable. Staff were super nice and helpful. Beautiful dining area and good food.

The staff didn’t tell me that I couldn’t not access the room from the outside door and gave me a key card that was declined three times, they gave a tool to another party next door to try and unlock their door with the inside child lock in place instead of investigating the problem and telling parties to only access their rooms from the hallway doors
