Hyatt Place Biloxi

I booked a 4-night stay which was non-refundable. Per their own customer service, per Hyatt policy, the manager can make EXCEPTIONS to non-refundable bookings under extenuating circumstances. My family was going to visit my husband who was on orders at the nearby AFB. His orders changed unexpectedly, and he is no longer there and will not be returning to that location. I notified the hotel as soon as I found out (over a month before our schedule stay). I also told them I would be glad to submit a copy of his official orders as well as a copy of his flight itinerary showing his one-way ticket to a different base. If a change in military orders doesn't constitute extenuating circumstances, I don't know what does. I left multiple messages for the manager to please reach out. The staff just said they weren't sure when a manager would be in but that management was aware, and that my messages were in their shift report. Days went by, then finally 2 weeks later I finally received a message from someone at the front desk (NOT the manager as requested) stating their manager "declined" to refund our stay. No explanation, nothing. The manager was not even willing to speak to me and/or accept any of my documentation to support my reason for requesting a refund. The manager at this location refused to give me the time of day or even discuss any possible options. They hide behind their staff and apparently aren't interested in my family's circumstances. They have our money and we're not getting it back. I have never experienced such indecent and insulting "customer service." If they didn't want to refund our stay, the manager could at least take a few minutes out of his/her day to reach out to me and speak person to person. There are a LOT of accommodations in the area with caring staff/management with integrity. The lack of understanding and respect for military service is reason enough for me to never stay at this Hyatt even if the opportunity presented itself in the future. Shame on you!

Corvette Club Meet & Greet & costume party. Great time! Only negative is management double booked our meeting room (again!). Hopefully got it straight for next year!
