My husband Ryan and I spent two nights at Post Ranch Inn for a much needed getaway from our two kids, and it was absolutely everything we could have hoped for, pure nature combined with effortless luxury. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the property. Our room was breathtaking, perched high above a sea of clouds with an endless view of the ocean. Every detail was perfect. The food and drinks were exceptional. A special shoutout to Tommy, the bartender, who crafted the best White Russian I’ve ever had; he listened to exactly what I wanted and made it even better than I imagined. We also had a blast cruising up and down the Pacific Coast Highway in one of the hotel’s vehicles. One of my favorite moments of the trip was after dinner one evening when the staff invited us out to the patio for stargazing. They even showed us Saturn and its moons through a telescope—it was truly magical. We felt completely spoiled and so grateful to experience a place like this. It was a once-in-a-lifetime stay, and while it’s certainly a splurge, every penny was worth it.

From the time you check in (Martin was so kind), until the sad time you check out - the service was amazing. The view and location from our room, was perfect - endless views of the pacific ocean and mountains. Big Sur is a quiet escape that must be visited if you can. We stayed on one of the ocean side locations - if you can, book these - they are amazing. The restaurant was good - not great. We did the tasting menu, room service, all day menu, overall good but some misses (again service was wonderful). Prices were high, but expected at a hotel of this caliber and location (I think $27 for a marg...). Breakfast was good, lunch was good, but if i did it again would skip the tasting menu. Would love more options that change daily, and maybe more simple foods (late night pizza is always a hit :), overall good! I should say, the service was wonderful though! This is by far my favorite hotel I have ever stayed at, and will 100% be back. I cannot recommend it enough.

We stopped for 1 night during our trip along the coast. Wow! The bedrooms are stunning and the views are amazing. Loved the layout of the room Short walk to a great restaurant and it was the best meal (lamb) of my whole holiday. Only small criticism is that the complimentary part of the breakfast should breakfast should include toast and juice. I paid a lot for 1 slice of toast and jam ♀️

The location of Post Ranch Inn is UNSURPASSED, an atmosphere like NO OTHER, absolutely DREAMY. There is not a bad room! And we’ve stayed in a few. Our favorite is The Ocean House. It’s literally like being “On Top Of The World”suspended 1200 Ft OVER the Ocean.

Post Ranch is a beautiful, upscale resort in Big Sur. It is a perfect place to relax and recharge your batteries. The grounds are spectacular including numerous pieces of art scattered throughout the property. Please note, there is not a lot to do in Big Sur other than enjoying the natural beauty (hiking, time at the beach, etc.)
