Property Description
The Sealander House was built by the City's Mayor in 1926. This historical home is full of old world charm, huge rooms, huge windows and drenched in sunlight. It features hardwood floors, a working fireplace, pocket doors, French doors, a huge dining room, 2 modern kitchens, 2 gas grills, one on the back porch off the kitchen and one on the 2nd floor deck, inviting porches and decks, a beautiful cupola. Lots of privacy with established gardens. Across the Street from Clifford Park. An amazing home perfect for groups/celebrations. {What I am not interested in hosting drunken events with associated dangerous behaviors like partying and vomiting on the roof, public urination and large numbers of attendees not accounted for in the reservation (12 guests listed and 60 are at the house) with associated destruction of my vintage house and property. This has only happened to me a couple of times but it's been heartbreaking. Not to mention my neighbors get upset. Most people are absolutely wonderful and are very kind and respectful to my property. I just want it to be clear to all since I have had this problem in the past. I have a Eufy security system at The Sealander House. There are 4 cameras and they are all external. They are facing the doors to the house, the front door, the back door, the 2nd floor deck door and the balcony door. They are not on all the time. They are triggered by motion. My favorite pics so far have been wildlife. When I do not have guests the house is empty. I do not live close by so I find this security helpful and reassuring. I hope you do too. The property has lots of establish trees and perennials and so so many birds. It feels like a bird sanctuary. I love this. You feel very private even though you are still in the city. It has a large front lawn and I have a fire pit on the front lawn. I have a large assortment of beach gear too for your use including a beach umbrella, beach buggy, beach chairs, beach toys including boogie boards, and beach towels. I really want my guests to have everything they need to have a great time. Have fun. We loved staying at the Sealander House. It is perfect for an extended family reunion. We found the gathering spaces plentiful and the beds comfortable. Laura is an excellent communicator, quick to respond to our questions and has been very accommodating. We would love to stay again!

Plenty of room for our family of 15. We enjoyed having large rooms for gathering, to play games, etc. We even had a family Olympics in the front yard. Close to beaches, and amusement/waterpark, with the house having plenty of beach towels. Laura was always quick to respond to any questions we had. Only negative was that when we got there the garbage bins were half full, which again with 15 of us it didn’t take long to fill. We put the bins out on trash day but they weren’t picked up. So had to place bags next to bins. Otherwise great place for a family reunion.

Amazing Stay! The check-in was easy, the host is lovely and responds quickly. The beautiful historic house is huge and with 3 floors, 6 bedrooms, 3 1/2 bathrooms, 2 kitchens and a large deck adjacent to the 2nd floor kitchen, our family of eleven was very comfortable. There is a nice front yard and a large porch for many enjoyable evenings. The house is only a few minutes away from many beaches and the owner has thoughtfully provided all sorts of beach necessities for the guests to borrow.

Our running team loved staying at the house. It worked perfect for all of us. It had everything we needed and it was close to the Old Port Half Marathon race in Portland. The owner of the property was very responsive to anything we needed. The house was clean and well stocked. Lots of sleeping options for groups. The house was very easy to check in and out of. The house is located around other homes, but feels secluded by the tall trees. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. The house had enough parking for our team. Our team would definitely stay at the house again if we came back. We highly recommend staying here!
