Had a wonderful few days at Storhogna. Cozy hotel. Our room had great views and even managed to spot the very rare Ptarmigan bird from our window. Food was lovely, lots of choices for breakfast and buffet lunch was great over the couple of days. Never seen such red salmon. They have a new restaurant which offers Italian food and wine. The pizza will blow your mind, especially the seafood one. The Orangery is a fabulous chilled out space with real trees planted inside. Makes a wonderful space and overlooks the pool area. Had a massage during my stay, which was amazing, felt very refreshed and relaxed after this.

Just returned from 3 days here celebrating my 60th birthday with friends. I live in the US and last spring I spent quite a bit of time researching opportunities to do some real hiking in Sweden, but still be able to return to a nice hotel and good food instead of going hut to hut, and this was exactly what I was looking for! We bought the “vandrings paket” (hiking package) which included our meals & picnic lunch each day. Every member of the staff we met were extremely friendly and helpful (something we don’t find in many parts of Sweden!). Woke up each day and took a quick swim in the awesome pool outside our room. Then hiked 16-20 km each day through beautiful terrain. Returned in time to sauna and enjoy fantastic meals at the end of the day. It was a perfect birthday trip- can’t wait to return.

Garden and pool were ok. There is no variety meals in terms of lunch and dinner, especially if you have 1-year old baby. Transportation is quiet tough if you do not have a car. Please be ready higher cost taxi if you come or go from Ostersund. The confirmation email from the hotel does not give correct information, please be careful.

Fantastisk miljö, härlig skidåkning. Underbara sängar. Fantastisk frukost och miljö med vinterträdgården. Goda viner. Tyvärr var varmrätterna inte bra. Fisken torr och lammet torrt och segt.

Fantastiskt fjällhotell
Väldigt trevligt hotell som har allt man behöver. Fantastiskt mysig vinterträdgård. Sköna sängar, bra frukost och numera också värme i poolen. Det jag saknar är pjäxrum och nya dörrar till rummen (nuvarande lite lyhörda).
