The hotel is not big, not many guests, and clean. No problem, clean and comfortable, but it doesn't have any special features. The quality of dinner is OK, but we didn't eat too much.

This is a Japanese-style hot spring hotel with excellent service. It's a 5-minute walk from Beppu Station and features tatami mats and a small, indoor and outdoor hot spring. We booked dinner based on the guidebook, and it was a Michelin-style restaurant, but it was truly terrible. Breakfast wasn't terrible either, but our reservation was for 7:00, and my daughter was late, so we arrived at 7:30. The staff politely let us pay a 500 yen late fee and apologized. I don't quite understand, but we respect local rules. If you want to experience a Japanese-style hotel, give it a try.

This hotel is truly delightful, with red hearts and flowers everywhere. The onsen offers a view of Mount Aso, complete with matcha pudding. I loved both dinner and breakfast. They even noticed some of us don't eat raw food, so they cooked all the dishes and breakfast for us. Very thoughtful.

房型無可挑剔，寬敞明亮，竹木結構+榻榻米，電器也很新，是這兩年在日本住過的最舒服的房型，對得起兩千多的價格。之前考慮到第三天早上一大早的火車，沒訂早餐，想到了酒店再考慮加一次早餐和晚餐，來了發現是米其林推薦的餐廳，要訂早晚餐都沒了。酒店一樓就有温泉池，男女分開，室內和實外都有，很方便。位置到別府站很近，帶着行李走路七八分鐘，門口公交車站，都幾個知名景點都挺方便，就是餐飲和購物集中區在別府站的另一邊，如果不在酒店吃飯，要穿過火車站，天氣熱走起來挺曬的。另外，太太説，酒店的規矩有點多，進門要脱鞋，有點不太習慣。總之，還是在日本非常推薦的酒店。
