Beppu is an excellent choice. The accommodation is located on the upper floor of a shop. The space is very, very large. The indoor equipment and materials are all high-end goods, and all the necessary facilities for life are available. The industrial style interior decoration does not give you the feeling of staying in a hotel, but rather a home feeling.
If you can only check in after 6 o'clock, remember to ask the boss for the password required for the check-in procedure. This is only the password for entering the store for the first time. There is an iPad on the counter inside. Follow the procedure displayed on the iPad to check in. Then a password to enter your room will be displayed. This password is also the password to enter the store later.
Parking can be done in parking lot 1 or 2 according to the map provided by the store, and there are ample parking spaces.

The room was exceptionally spacious, ideal for gatherings with friends or family trips like ours. It featured a radio with Bluetooth connectivity for music, offering decent sound quality. Plenty of towels were provided. The only slight inconvenience was the lack of easy options for drying clothes. Crucially, the room was impeccably clean, with not a trace of any unpleasant odors. It had a charming guesthouse-like atmosphere. They even provided coffee beans, allowing guests to grind them and prepare fresh pour-over coffee. There was also a large balcony, where the morning air was wonderfully fresh. A big supermarket is conveniently located just a short walk away.

This place is something special…the people, the design and everything they provided. I would definately recommend this place if you are not looking for a traditional hotel. The room is equipped with everything you need. There is also a fantastic bakery a few blocks from the building.

A rare find
A rare find in a sea of regular hotels. The hotel or I should say the guesthouse has only six units for rental. The unit I rented was a two bedroom apt with kitchen and a large living room. The kitchen is well equipped and there is also a washing machine in the bathroom. The guesthouse is artistically designed and has a warehouse retro look. The ground floor is a cafe and also the check-in area (an email will be sent out on how to check in). There is no onsen onsite but we were offered complimentary onsen visit to nearby onsen, which was a really nice surprise. The property is located across from You Me mall and short walking distance to Beppu Tower and seafront. My family totally enjoyed our stay at Hajimari and especially appreciate the spaciousness and cleanliness of the unit. If we return to Beppu, we will definitely stay here again.

Amazing designed place, like to sleep in museum. The only problem is the noise- the windows not sealed properly
