"We stayed in the Cabine Familiale for 3 nights with our 2 primary school aged children. The room was perfect with twin beds in one section and a double in the other. The beds were extremely comfortable and the facilities were all we needed. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The location was excellent with a short walk to the beach, great restaurants and plenty of free parking nearby. Bénodet is a lovely town and we will certainly stay at Bateau Libre next time we visit."

"Just returned home after a very pleasant week at the Armoric Hotel and I would like to thank all the people who work there for their friendly welcome. A special mention of course for Irene's delicious cooking! My favourite dish was the Dinde avec Sauce Aigre Douce. The choice of dishes is amazing and dinner, like breakfast, is very good value. The position of the hotel is one of its major attributes, everything is within walking distance and walking around Benodet is a pleasure in itself. The atmosphere is that of a traditional seaside hotel, where the owners seem genuinely concerned that you enjoy your holiday and who work very hard. There is always somebody available to deal with queries, make you a drink and offer advice. I found the bed very comfortable and particularly liked the 2 chairs around the desk, not sure if they are baroque or empire style. The chairs on the small terrace were comfortable as well. My room gave onto the garden and it was wonderful, coming from a large city to be able to listen to the birds singing and sometimes nothing at all. The music was exactly to my taste in the restaurant, such a change from the usual muzak which aspires to provide ambiance but does completely the reverse. "

"I am very disappointed but just for the restaurant and the restaurant staff, this famous little intern who does not offer us any drinks or bread and rushes us the fish soup while we were still at the aperitif, so cold soup. so already having dinner at the entrance for 10 minutes no drinks offered or bread so I tell my husband it's pitiful and at the end of the meal the manager of the room takes his defense and catches me at the exit to tell me that the little one was upset and that he had left her behind to protect her and me very surprised and in tears because my husband came just 3 minutes before but did not say anything to him it's really the world upside down at 1800 euros per week it's disgusting and the manager of the room very unfriendly stressful, and that we ask him for rust for the fish soup while the little intern does not know what she knows and the manager of the room shouts loudly in front of everyone YOU ARE NOT IN THE SOUTH HERE WHAT ARROGANCE !!!! It's a shame because all the rest of the week we have lunch and dinner in another hotel. I feel sorry for this little one in high season especially since we didn't say anything to her. Fortunately, all the hostesses and the reception manager were extremely kind. And took the time to listen to us. Thank you again to all of you for your kindness. And regarding this room manager, I think that if it had been a customer at 5000 euros per week, I think he would not have accosted his wife. And this intern before leaving the hotel who runs like a three-year-old child towards the reception to find out what we had said, this behavior is really disappointing and unprofessional. Other people were there and stunned."

"While passing through Benodet, we had booked one night in this small hotel. Very pleasant surprise, warm welcome, a small swimming pool with water jet and counter current, sauna. A water fountain to refill your bottles, caramels in the room. The breakfast is wonderful without being too expensive. Nice room. The only downside is the sound insulation, the neighbors above moved their beds between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m. every 10 minutes which still made quite a bit of noise 😔"

"Arrived to no reception picked up letter and went to room to find roof window left open in storm and bed soaked. No one there so had to sleep on sofa in damp sheets. Next day asked for refund and told pierre do not refund and its tough. How can a company treat customers so badly? On to of the wet bed the room and corridors smell of stale dish the room is 20 yrs past needing a refurb. Worst place I gave stayed in with worst company go at your own risk"

"Bed is comfortable but thats about where the positives end, and 2 stars is kind. I'd highly recommend paying the extra few euros and stay in the parent hotel which is the "Grand Hotel" around the corner which is far superior and way better value for money. This hotel is old, not well kept, en suite was internal with no window and black mould in the shower, and smelt terribly, and generally not a nice smell throughout the hotel. Would avoid unless really stuck."
