Nice and on the ***** in Cancun, in the hotel zone, itf you're going there to go to the beach or party it's good. Beds were comfortable enough and had AC in the room and all that. Couldn't go swimming outside the hostel because there are crocodiles which is a bit of a unique disappointment but not the hostel's fault of course. (There was a big slide that was shut off, would have been pretty fun🤣)
Comparatively more expensive bar than other hostel's I stayed in in Mexico but that's also more of a Cancun thing as a higher priced destination.
Good overall.

The staff at reception is not very familiar with the whole process, but friendly. The room esp sink area is not very clean probably because the hostel don’t require ppl to leave the shoes outside, as in Asia. The location is great, very close to the nightlife area. Do avoid the taco restaurant next door.

I used Mayan Monkey in Tulum and liked it so I used it in Cancun too.
Above all, it's the best because it's close to the ocean.
However, the facilities are better in Tulum.
I used a bed on the first floor, but it was so narrow that my head touched the bed on the second floor.
I clearly told the female employee that the person on the second floor snored and I couldn't sleep all night, but she said that I couldn't understand because I only speak basic languages, and she complained to the employee next to me. I communicated in English and Spanish. I was angry, but I held back because I didn't want to fight. The river view is good.
