Quest Bendigo Central

We had previously stayed at Quest Bendigo Central in May 2022.  At that time we thought the apartment wasn't as clean as it could have been, and it was showing it age with ageing furnishings, mattresses and carpet, ect.  At that time were told that the facility would be refurbished soon to update it.  With our recent stay of 3 night in late October 2025 it seems that the facility is still waiting for it to happen. On entering the 2 bedroom apartment there were old tree leaves on the carpet, and they stayed for the duration of our stay.  We had asked for the rooms to each have king bed configuration - one room was not with singles in place,  the single mattresses were very soft, lumpy and appeared to need replacement.  One wasn't fitted with a protector or topper.  We asked for a topper to be put on but housekeeping failed to do so.  In the end a reception staff member fitted it as the housekeeping staff had gone home - she was apologetic and as helpful has she could be. The bedside tables have a full cross-cut angled groove as handles - they were filled with dust and obviously hadn't been cleaned in ages. The stacked front loading washer & dryer in the main bathroom, were showing their age but worked well.  However, the detergent packets were placed on top of the unit, when getting at them your hands get covered in dust bunnies.  Seriously the top of the unit would only need to occasional vacuum or dusting to keep it clean. The housekeeping staff look vary harried when we saw them - are there not enough of them to do a proper job

As we spent our days out at the various local birding spots, the Quest was a very comfortable base. We weren't looking to eat out, so we cooked in the well appointed kitchen. The bed was very comfortable and our stay was made effortless by friendly, helpful statt. We'll be back.
