Element Bend

We have been going to Bend for the past 5 years and usually stay at the Residence Inn but decided to check this place out since it is newer. My review of this place would have just been 3 stars but the level of service I received from Haley made a huge difference that it deserved another star. The true test of service is not when everything is running smoothly and smiles are in plethora but when a challenge is presented and how the team handles it. Haley was truly outstanding. Long story short, we left a bunch of items in the room that probably cost $300. There is a service called ILeftmystuff which will charge 100++ to deliver your stuff back. I spoke with Haley and she worked with me to use USPS flatrate box for $21. Your typical employee would just direct you to that service and would not go out of their way to help out or even think outside the box. This is why people like Haley stands above the rest and deserve the credit for going above and beyond. Cairo was another employee in this property who was great. The location of this property is TOP NOTCH, better than the residence inn. My biggest issue on this property are the thin walls. If you have a loud mouth neighbor or someone who plays loud music, you will be hearing that LOUD AND CLEAR. I had to put on earplugs plus headphones with music to drown it out so I can fall asleep. Thank God they left the next day. We were in room 430 so it was the top floor, I could imagine hearing footsteps from above if were were in lower floors. As a very light sleeper and with noise sensitivity, this hotel is not the best option for peeps like me. The cleaning was also substandard. Service is just ok for the rest of the people I encountered some better than others but not consistent, room requests from the app doesn’t get a response. If you are a healthy eater the breakfast here is not for you (ie sugary food, boxed eggs etc) this is not a big deal for us since we can just eat out. I am ambivalent on my recommendation for this property because despite of its shortcomings, it has redeeming qualities.

We were there for one night and we were sad to leave so soon. Very comfortable room, the equipped kitchen was super convenient.
