Super 8 by Wyndham Bend

Staff were pleasant, bathroom very clean. Yet Room smelled terrible, could not air it out enough,slept with windows wide open. Fan/AC/heater stunk when turned on. Bed spread worn, appeared unclean. Floor rug very dingy and dank, bed/ mattress old, hard, sheets scratchy, pillows flat, ceiling light fixture without cover, walls dingy, all made it hard to sleep w/out thinking of bedbugs. I expected budget and not much for location. At $180 bucks a night feel scammed. Replacing carpet that smells and is way beyond it's life span seems like a reasonable investment. The lobby clean, the breakfast basic kids chow, not a place to hang out. The staff were perfectly good at check in and check out. The pool fine for kids.

We opened the door with the old plastic key card and was greeted by a dim, very dim, flickering light. We let our eyes adjust to the flickering darkness and looked around. Old patchy yellowing walls, dark scratchy blankets, one window that opens to look up to the cars and people’s legs in the parking lot. We found the other dim lamps and turned them on to the brightest. Then we saw the bathroom. Bright white lights! We excitedly walked in and saw…a cracked toilet with some wood exposed. An old styled vanity that badly needed an update. A floor I wouldn’t step on barefooted. A basic shower. I notified the kids to keep shoes on at all times and never sit or lay on anything besides the white sheets without touching the signature brown scratchy motel blanket above. It was a long night, not exactly what was expected for a room we paid $275 for.

The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly and attentive. The breakfast included several options, and fresh coffee and ice water was always available in the lobby. The location was close to downtown but not along a route that would be enjoyable to walk.

Don't bother to ask for specific accommodations. You won't get them. Rude evening check in staff. TV was so far off on color it was painful. Refrigerator froze our food. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom was clean. Pancake machine was big hit with loads of kids,

Comfortable Stay was comfortable. Room was clean even though it was a pet room and the fleas were obnoxious. Staff was amazing.
