Red Lion Inn & Suites Deschutes River Bend

Room was small overall, we could hear noises next door, outside and above us. The mini fridge made loud noises all night and the ac was not cooling as it should.  The location of the hotel was convenient and close to everything, but we would not stay here again.

I would have given the room cleanliness a higher rating. But after you take a shower you would expect the bottom of your feet to be clean. But when I went to put my socks on after walking on the floor my feet were black. The floors need to be cleaned better.

It's an okay place BUT, it's right off of hwy 97 so it's noisy, TV didn't work and continental breakfast was fake eggs, mediocre biscuits/gravy and lousy sausage patty. It's basically HALF of a continental breakfast with the cheapest food possible. So if you're a breakfast person, this ain't the place.

One morning they ran out of plates and forks for the included breakfast, other than that everything was great.

We liked that outside our door & window our view was the rocky, tree/bush lined hillside instead of the highway, that was a plus. We all felt very safe during our stay. The motel was conveniently located easy access to shopping and dining. It was great having the free breakfast available too. What we didn't like was that there was not a window that opened, the room smelt overwhelmingly like bleach when we arrived. We had to leave our room door open and allow it to air out for a couple of hours. Also, it was inconvenient that there was not a fan in the bathroom. Overall, we were pleased with our stay, and we would stay again.

We were very disappointed to pay $349 for a really really old place. No elevator. Room very small. Smelled of chemicals.
