- The location is excellent. It is just round the corner from Gubei Water Town. A two minute walk to the entrance hall.
- The service was good. The staff added us on WeChat and were very quick to respond to messages and queries. One stand out moment for us was when our food was 2 hours late from a local restaurant. I was struggling to communicate with the restaurant because my Chinese is not very good. Staff reached out on our behalf and sorted the issue for us.
- Cleanliness was OK. The sheets on the bed felt lovely and clean, but the apartment was not spotless. The shower had some black mould, and the floor in the kitchen felt sticky.
- The apartment itself had some pros. My son absolutely loved all the toys and the slides. It made his experience very enjoyable.
- Plenty of towels, toiletries provided.
However
- The shower leaked constantly. Every time we used the shower the bathroom would become flooded - which was a slipping hazard for my son.
- The curtains are very thin. Every morning we were woken up to a bright light streaming through the windows. This meant that my son’s sleep was not great. We did contact the staff about this. They used sellotape to stick up some bedsheets on the windows, but this fell down within minutes! We appreciate the efforts though.
- We would have felt better if there was a stair gate. As this is an apartment aimed at families, a stair gate would be good for safety.
- Limited cutlery is provided. We were given some disposable chopsticks. However very few cooking utensils / no children’s cutlery. Bring your own if you want to cook. :)
- There was only once choice of breakfast - which was not to our personal taste. Would be good if 2 or three options were provided. There is a lovely bakery around the corner and we enjoyed buying our breakfast from there for the remainder of the trip.

The house is very nice, with complete facilities. You can sing karaoke and play billiards on the first floor. There is a heated swimming pool. There are game consoles on the second floor. My father and I had a lot of fun. If the schedule was not so tight, the child would have wanted to stay here for another day. The boss is also very nice. Not only did he help me book tickets for the night tour of the Great Wall, he also sent back the walnuts that were left at the B&B. He was very patient throughout the whole process.

As an old user, I haven't written a review on Ctrip for a long time. When I go out, I basically stay in five-star hotels. I am a bit picky and don't stay in homestays or inns. This time, I was traveling with a few friends and decided on the spur of the moment. The reservation time was very short, so I quickly found this one. When I went there, I didn't have high expectations. I thought it would be okay for one night anyway, but this homestay really surprised me. From the beginning, the proprietress was very enthusiastic, including the introduction of the entire courtyard, the surrounding area, and the travel guide. Even after we checked out, we were still contacting on WeChat for fear that we didn't have a good time in the surrounding area. She was very thoughtful. After we arrived, we kept bothering the proprietress to provide a lot of things inside and outside. The attitude was very good from beginning to end, and the environment was really unexpectedly satisfactory. If I go to the surrounding area again in the future, it should be the only choice. I hope the business will be prosperous and better.

Let me talk about the advantages first. For a family of three, two 1.8-meter-long beds are very comfortable to sleep on, and the mattresses are really comfortable. I was a little tired at night and didn't turn over all night, but I didn't feel uncomfortable. I really like this 👍. There are restaurants around, which are very convenient for dinner and breakfast. The nearby Jiuyan Great Wall is also good.
Let's talk about the inconveniences. There are mahjong tables, KTV, TVs, and kitchens, but they are all in ”one” public room, shared by four families. Each household has at least three people, that is, 12 people, to share a room. You can imagine how important it is to meet a neighbor who can communicate. Fortunately, I met a good neighbor. Everyone is easy to discuss and cooperate tacitly to use the resources in the yard. In addition, because there is no room number and no order, even if we book a room, we are not sure which room to live in. After arriving at that yard, it is also the last thing everyone discusses.
This homestay has several courtyards. The one we stayed in was not the same as the one in the pictures. There was almost no lawn in this courtyard. I was actually uncomfortable with this gap, but because the room type was the same and we were a bunch of people, I didn't mention it.
But there were some small episodes later, such as when I wanted to go out, I locked the door and found that I didn't have the key. The aunt sent the key and said that some rooms had lost the key, but there was a surveillance camera to ensure it, haha. The automatic mahjong table was sometimes good and sometimes bad, and finally it was manual throughout.
The toilet lid couldn't stand up and leaned on me from time to time. For people with mysophobia, I think that feeling can be understood.
How do I feel in the end? Although there are many small episodes, I feel quite lucky because the people I met have digested these episodes, and the shortcomings of some facilities were almost offset by a good night's sleep.

Five small homes for family gatherings just need such a small villa. The landlord is waiting for us at the door to help arrange a parking space. Entering the room feels that everything is worth it. Clean and tidy. The room design is simple and atmospheric. Everyone is very satisfied and the landlord is always smiling. Service is on call. Warm Service we are very satisfied and the breakfast is not fooled at all. It is very delicious. There is no limit. The surrounding environment is no longer important.

I came to Huairou with my friends during the winter vacation and booked this B&B. It's called a B&B, but it's more like a combination of a hotel and a party hall. Each room has the hotel's hygiene standards, and toiletries, disposable slippers, towels, bath towels, and floor towels are all equipped. Because there are eight of us, we chose this four-bedroom room. The overall stay is very good. There is a bar, a pool table and a table tennis table on the third floor. It will be very warm at noon. The hygiene is very good, the quilt is very comfortable, the breakfast is also good, and the food at the nearby Qingshan Yijiu restaurant is also good. The only drawback is that the room fee only includes 6 bottles of mineral water. Even if you ask the housekeeper for more the next day, you still need to pay for it. Although it is only a few dollars, it is not very pleasant. The dogs and cats in the B&B are very cute. The picture shows the cafe next to the B&B and the small hot spring pool in the B&B.

The room was quite big and very comfortable to live in. The interior and exterior were clean and warm. Although it was very hot that day, it was still quite cool in the mountains. JJohnUKCommunication with the owner was excellent via WeChat and all my questions were answered very quickly. I was kindly given a room upgrade and it was lovely and big and comfortable. It was very bright with an excellent view and you can see clearly see the Great Wall lights at night. There is a convenience store downstairs for anything you need. The entrance to Gubei Water town is only a few minutes walk so it is very convenient. The shower, Wi-Fi and air con all worked great. The bed is a little hard but normal for Asia and I am happy with it. I was very satisfied with a my 2 night stay.

If you drive, please contact us in advance. There is a parking space downstairs. The apartment belongs to Longhu Villa. The environment is very good. I booked two king-size rooms. The room is very large with a balcony. The balcony can see the night view of the Great Wall of Water and the drone show. It is super beautiful. You can take a walk in the community at night. There are restaurants and supermarkets outside the community. It is very convenient

It's very close to the entrance to the Watertown, the owner was very kind and helpful, and the room was massive with a great view over the Watertown and of the Great Wall. I even saw some of the drone show at night from the balcony. The room was spotless and very comfortable. The bathroom is Western style, and there was a water refill machine as well as a kettle for hot drinks. The room had plenty of space and everything a person needs for a night or two. It was also incredibly quiet at night, which I appreciated as a light sleeper. I recommend this place wholeheartedly.

MMandyThe host is very generous and give us a ride to the Great Wall entrance. If you ask them in advance, they can also provide breakfast and dinner with reasonable price. They also help to provide Great Wall cable cars/ slides/ lift tickets with lower price. The location is quite remote, but you can still take Didi to it from Beijing which costs around 150-250RMB. Also recommend to bring more water/ drinks/ snacks as there are no shops or supermarkets around.

Llily/We were looking for a getaway from the city vacations and this is definitely the place. The room was clean and neat, towels changed every day. I was concerned about the meals not being up to our expectations, but I couldn't be more wrong. It's Chinese cuisine but not spicy as I expected and there's a big variety of dishes to choose from. A bit pricey though if you go on tight budget, but DELICIOUS. Breakfast, however was average, not many options, but coffee was decent. Bottom line a great experience, loved the pool and the attention from the staff was 10 out of 10. A big THANK YOU to all the hotel workers. Will be definitely recommending the place.

The unit is clean and all electrical appliances functioning well. The unit we stay is about 400 meter walking distance to Gubei tourist Registration center. We enjoy our stay. Valuable stay for a group of 5 persons.

It is close to the entrance of the scenic spot, just around the corner from the entrance of the community, which is convenient.

Everything is at walking distance. We couldn’t ask for a better location. From the balcony we were also able to see the Great Wall, and at nights is amazing to see it with the lights on. The room was spacious, with tv and a mini fridge. The area felt very secure, and there are many shops and restaurants nearby. However, the best part were the amazing staff. They were so helpful, provided information, directions, tips, and they were so kind to offer also a lift at the end of our staying. Top notch place! Highly recommended!
