Location was super good, just outside the entrance of the watertown. could see great wall from our room. But the room itself felt scary, didn't sleep well

This hotel is just cozy, homy and very modernly designed. It is very near to the scenic spot, just about 5 minutes walking. If you take bus from Beijing to Gubei, then the hotel is just 10 minutes walking from the bus bay. The hotel has several Options for staying package. We chose the package with night tour to Simatai Great Wall, hotspring at Duan Jia, and day tour to the town. We are very happy with the choice. There are 2 restaurants in the hotel, 1 specializes in Chinese food, the other is Western food. Both provides nice and delicious food with reasonable price. Will definitely return to this place !

A very well maintained boutique hotel. Great hotel with a spacious room and very clean. Very good location with walkable distance into the Gubei town and the room has very nice view of the great wall.

Beautiful hotel, spacious, huge, and clean. Great breakfast selection. Deluxe Double room was still pretty fine! Hotel is just right outside of the Watertown but you get admission to enter staying at this hotel. It is furthest from Simatai Great Wall - can take shuttle bus.

The hotel is huge with grand lobby, a five star hotel lobby. The room is however, quite basic and nothing to shout about. The beds are big and comfortable. We were "upgraded" to another room with a section of view of the water town and great wall, but when we retuned to the room after water town tour, no more lights at water town and the great wall, lighting are off at 10 pm. Quite a long distance walking to Customer Service center of water town, and a long walk at the water town. We were immediately amazed by the beautiful scenery with so many photo shots. We walked all the way up to the cable car station of Simatai Great Wall at 6pm, managed to reach the Station 5 of the Great Wall at 640pm with a good view of sunset, and waited for lighting when sky turned dark. It was so beautiful up there. We could see the Water Town lighting from far. Cable car fare for hotel guests was RMB120 which I think it is worth to experience both the evening and night view of Great Wall. We felt it was unnecessary to climb the great wall again the next day although free tickets were given. Instead, we experienced the hot spring bath at 城上 (another hotel inside the water town), which I was amazed by the cleanliness, security, well organized multi-pool hot tubs. A tip to the cable car station: It is located at the far end of the water town, look for shuttle car at several exit of the water town to go straight to cable station without needing to walk all the way to and fro. Shuttle car is free for hotel guests. Another tip, restaurants are almost closed even before 9pm. There are few restaurants at another exit of the water town entrance, where hot food is still available at 10pm, a 24 hour Lawson is there too.

The room is spacious and equipped with facilities for young children. The view is very beautiful, and it is conveniently located near a Lawson store.

I have stayed at this hotel before. The service is excellent. Staff are very helpful. The rooms are big. The beds are comfortable. Easy access to the Watertown. The breakfast is predominantly Chinese but there are western options too. Would definitely stay at this hotel again.

The hotel has its advantages. The rooms are big, the bathtub is big, water is hot, beds are comfy, the people are nice and for sure, everything is clean. Nevertheless, there are some issues. Firstly, while everyone is superfriendly, most of the employees speak no English at all and those who do are far from perfection to say the least. So, if you want to find out anything specific, you usually need to talk to the one and only person who speaks English and there is a chance that he/she will help you. Secondly, the breafkasts aremostly Chinese. Very few non-local products are available, so do not expect a typical western style breakfast. On the other hand, if you are a fan of Chinese food - you will love it. Finally, the location is very good if you are interested in visiting the Gubei Watertown - just by the entrance. The problem is that there is absolutely nothing interesting hereapartfrom the Great Wall. The latter is an excursion for 2 hours - this is just enough to see the interesting things available here. However, if you really think this is worth traveling here - then consider making a reservation which includes a visit to the Great Wall (best at night with cable car included), shuttle bus, entrance to the Watertown and possibly some hot springs - that being included in your hotel voucher will probably save you a lot of money compared to the on-the-spot prices.

Lovely nice hotel. I bought the package. It’s convenient. It’s included the hike for Great Wall of China in the evening, where the transport shutter bus will sent us to the entrance. Including the hot bath & breakfasts too. We have a lovely stay. Thank you for the hospitality.

The room was dated. The toilet bowl was unable to flush and in the end, we have to get call the receptionist to contact the plumber to unchoke the toilet bowl. Breakfast spread was huge with lots of variety. Location was good with walking distance to water town and free bus ride to all the different parts of the town including the Great Wall cable car.

The hotel is located just outside the entrance of Gubei Water Town and is less than 10 mins walk to the bus bay. Hotel room is very clean and the bed is comfortable for a night of good sleep. The hotel restaurant also serves quite a good spread of breakfast buffet. Generally we are very satisfied with the service provided by the hotel.

Checked in this hotel for a short stay and room was upgraded to Double Deluxe Room with window view. Overall we have had a pleasant days here and shall be back soon.
