Beechworth Lake Sambell Caravan Park

Well-worth staying. Perfectly located on Lake Sambell which for us put on evocative misty mornings, must come back for swimming! Close enough to everything - history, nature, snow fields. A great place to explore, and a great base for further-afield adventures. The cabin was perfectly set-up, bed was so comfy we all had the best sleep. Kids had a bunk bed and one up store luggage. All the gear in the kitchen we needed, some juggling with counter-space but not a drama. Other cabins were quiet, next time we’d hire a fire pit for behind our cabin but with so much rain we didn’t. A last-minute request to stay an additional night due to a hiccup with our next accomodation was able to be accommodated, for which we were very grateful. We barely scratched the surface - didn’t get a chance to use the mini-golf! - but would definitely go back.

Could not speak highly enough of the park and staff. Reception staff are very efficient and friendly and couldn't be more helpful. On arrival we were escorted to our site, then guided our van effortlessly into place. Five star service from the very start. The park is kept in excellent condition and the team could not be more friendly or helpful. The site had excellent views across the lake making a drink with friends by the fire very enjoyable. Have booked in for a holiday there again early next year.

We come here once a year in the March/april school holidays, in the non Easter week. This was our 4th year & we had another great experience. The park has everything you need, some entertainment, great amenities & space for the kids to explore & play. Town is a short walk or bike ride away & there’s plenty of what you need AND want there. Lake sambell is a nice spot for a swim for the kids especially if the reeds have been removed! We stay in Lakeview cabin 1 & enjoy the bbq on the deck & a cabin that has a clean bathroom, great view & heating/cooling depending on what weather Victoria is putting on.

Excellent tourist park and location. We had a lovely spacious site for our two week stay. Staff were so so helpful, a constant presence in the park. Spotless amenities and facilities. Great walks and cycling on the trails commencing from the park.

Great park, friendly and helpful staff. Great location, easy walk to cbd and walking track around the lake. Very clean amenities.

Had a great weekend at Lake Sambell - Beautiful camp spot by the lake with the open fire was fantastic and the staff went above and beyond - cant rate them highly enough. Will definitely be back.
