"An older property with spacious and comfortable rooms in the village centre and close to the Festinog steam railway. Staff were helpful but facilities were pretty basic and WiFi didn't reach the room."

"A beautiful place, the setting is simply spectacular. Beddgelert is a lovely little Welsh village not far from Yr Wyddfa, and this hotel did not disappoint in any way. The bathroom was spotless with lovely amenities, nothing out of place. The included breakfast was ample but cooked to order items are also available. Quick walk or drive to the village, where at least three pubs offer good food options. Excellent hotel with an excellent, friendly staff."

"We were with a group waiting to board the steam train so had some time to get some lunch. Not knowing this village we purchased a sandwich and a coffee and sat on some empty benches, we chatted to a nice guy sitting at a table and continued to enjoy the lovely sunshine. This guy ran out of The coach house and screamed at us saying “when you’ve finished do NOT put your rubbish in my bin and hurry up out of here”, I asked him not to be so rude but he continued shouting, it was so embarrassing. What we hadn’t realised was, we were sitting on his benches but hadn’t purchased our food there ! He could have been civil to us but chose not to be. Avoid at all costs"

"2nd stay at this lovely independent guest house- Mark and Annette are top class hosts and the guest house is immaculate- it’s like walking into a mini 4* hotel topped by a superb welsh breakfast. Everything about the set up is class and you get great tips from them on local places to visit and the most scenic routes. It’s a chance to escape in the most beautiful scenery and the river can be heard all night from your room- how relaxing! I can’t recommend highly enough in this era of chain hotels and lousy service and we shall be returning next year without fail- give them a go, you won’t be disappointed "
