It is a boutique hotel, relatively small. Not near the sea, no sea view. But the breakfast is very good, the toiletries are L'Occitane

We had a delightful 2 night stay at the Carlton in July. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly - there was always someone on call. We arrived early at 12pm and the receptionist checked that our room was ready before letting us have an early check-in. Our room was lovely and the bathroom was very luxurious (the L'Occitane products are delightful). We loved the pool area - despite it being July, we were able to get a lounger. It's a beautiful spot with sun all day and really peaceful. The location is also great - an easy 5 minute walk into the centre of Beaulieu or down to the beach. We will definitely we back.

Another fabulous stay at the Hotel Carlton. I simply cannot fault this hotel, all the staff are wonderful and nothing is too much trouble. The lovely quiet pool area is great for a relaxing hour or two after a day spent sightseeing and the carafe of Rose served at the pool bar is excellent value at only €10! We had a few of those ..... There is a jazz evening every Thursday with complimentary champagne and canapes for guests and an excellent breakfast on the shaded terrace. I have been visiting this hotel for the past 20 years and it just gets better. Many of the guests seem to have been returning for years and it's easy to understand why. The perfect boutique hotel in the perfect location. Thanks to everyone there for a lovely stay - I will be back.

The worst experience I've had at a Carlton hotel. Very expensive for what it offers. I paid 322 euros for the room, 10 euros for parking plus resort fees. Around 350 euros total per night, for an extremely dirty pool, the pool deck was filthy, full of bird droppings and more. The fridge in the room didn't work, water was leaking, it was dirty and smelled bad. I couldn't keep my medicine in it. The towels were old and very worn. I washed my hair and when I wanted to dry it I couldn't because the hairdryer had an extension that wasn't attached, plus in a hotel like this it's embarrassing to have such a cheap hairdryer. They don't have a coffee maker in the room. At check out I explained all of this and requested a solution to the unpleasant experience and the fact that their services are not worth the money paid. The supposed Assistant to the General Manager at the reception offered me an embarrassing compensation, she didn't want to call the General Manager because it was too early, i.e. 07.30 a.m. We do not recommend! Disappointing for a lot of money and horrible attitude of the person at the reception. I only attach a few pictures, I have videos upon request.

We stayed at the Carlton to celebrate my mother's special birthday. The team were lovely, always offering to go above and beyond with a smile. My mother was really touched to discover the beautiful fruit platter in her room. Also a big shout out to Marty who so helpfully parked the car for us after we arrived very late in the evening. Thank you for a wonderful, memorable stay.

This is a great hotel, with amazingly friendly and attentive service, and very pleasant location in the heart of Beaulieu sur mer. Breakfast is a great value. You can walk to numerous fantastic restaurants and other attractions. It is four star only, but for the price, you get an amazing value. Highly recommended, and we will be back!!

We just finished a two week stay in several 4-star hotels in the French Rivera and by far The Carlton was the best. The property was clean and the staff was excellent.
