Corey, Carrie, Bobbie Jo, Malory! All were so welcoming and helpful! The rooms were very clean, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom was large and updated, and the common areas were elegant and comfortable. We loved the complimentary happy hour everyday, the all day coffee and tea station, and the bar. We walked every morning along the lake, peaceful and beautiful. I could have stayed for a month!!!

What a beautiful stay. The room was stunning. Not only was it clean, but it was spacious and gorgeous. The food was delicious and beautiful. The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. They really went the extra mile to make us happy. When we needed food heated, they plated it for us and gave us silverware. When we had a question or request, they seemed more than happy to help us. It was probably the best service I have ever experienced. They made us laugh and they were just so sweet and helpful at the same time. I definitely plan to return. You just don’t see staff like that anymore. I haven’t enjoyed a stay like that in a long time. Amazing job!

We've been BVI brunch goers for a very long time. The new owners have turned the meal from an experience to a disappointment. Classic old favorites have been replaced by the mundane...no better than a Comfort Inn. Smoked whitefish, tomato pudding, chicken livers...gone. Desserts used to be served in delightful "just a bite" format. Now they are large slabs of obviously food-service grade cakes. Chilled cherry soup...gloppy. Sticky buns are dry without nuts. Very sad. Clearly the end of an era.

We stopped in for one night on our way to Mackinac Island and were absolutely blown away by the accommodations and the service. Our room was gorgeous, the grounds and views are beautiful, and the staff is top notch. Hayden, Bobbie Jo, Corey, and Sydney provided such lovely service and were attentive to every detail. We can’t wait to return.

What a fantastic stay. We were in Michigan for a wedding and were lucky enough to book the Bay View Inn. The hotel is an historic gem from the elevator to the lovely lobby, it’s like being on a Hallmark movie set. The room was very nice and yes, a little dated but what would you expect? The service was excellent and friendly

Friendly and helpful staff.
It is near the lake with a rocky beach from which I saw the sunset.
The porch and dining room have views of the beautiful garden flowers and the lake. I loved the blue/white room with an alcove that we had.
The place has a lot of charm!
I would definitely stay here again!

Charming setting but needs updating.
Hotel was quaint but definitely worn out (rugs, elevator, etc.) Staff was very friendly. Room was clean and quiet (except when it was raining -very noisy)! Dinner was average quality. Grounds were nice.
I realize we were there in high season but very overpriced for what we experienced. Would not stay here again.

This was our 5th stay at Staffords Bayview!!! Friendly and comfortable atmosphere, - with delicious food options and social hour. Planning our 6th trip possibly for the fall.

This is a historic hotel, but very well maintained and managed. The room was simple but very comfortable. The staff are excellent. The breakfasts and dinners we had here were also very good.
