Was a wonderful experience for a night. The breakfast and lunch could have been a little bit better, but overall a wonderful experience.

Phenomenal place to stay and particularly good value. The sunset rooms were lovely and more than adequate, especially being away from the noise of the bar.. The food, though cafeteria serving style, changed enough each time that after 5 days only breakfast got repetitive. Staff were amazing throughout and so long as you don't need great WiFi you can completely relax. Make sure you take some good books or a few movies loaded onto your devices though, there's only so much snorkeling and diving I could fill my day with.

The hotel is located on an independent island with a good environment. Compared with other resorts on other islands, I feel that the cost performance is much higher. The staff is warm, polite and friendly. Three meals are included. Although there are not many choices, they are all good. Highly recommended

The resort is located on the Big Wave Island, with a first-class environment. It is very pleasant to swim at the beach and sunbathe on the beach. The staff on the island are enthusiastic and unrestrained. Whenever a new guest arrives on the island, someone will sing on the beach to welcome him. I like this kind of home-like atmosphere. The food on the island is also good, with three meals a day and no repetition for many days. This is a Fiji resort island worth recommending to the world.

Personally, I'm very satisfied. Anyway, the sea is too beautiful! ! ! There are snorkeling tours twice a day, and events such as a quiz competition, fire dance, and kava ritual experience are held in the evening. The staff are Fijian and very laid-back.

I wanted to find a cost-effective island to stay, but the food was worse than the school cafeteria. The beach was OK, but too small... and there was no WiFi, only the front desk... no signal 📶 It was just a waste of time...

The whole experience was extremely disappointing and frustrating and a far cry from the relaxing holiday we had expected. Firstly, the attitude of the staff on the island was completely indifferent. They greeted us with a mechanical "BULA" without any real warmth or friendliness. This inhospitable attitude was immediately off-putting. Due to the negligence of your staff, my father's condition deteriorated further when he fell and broke his ribs while boarding the boat. Due to the severity of my father's injuries, I desperately requested to return to Beachcomber Island, which the crew refused, despite my father being clearly in danger. Upon returning to the island, I reported the incident to the front desk, only to be told that the only medical assistance available was a first aid kit. To my dismay, I discovered that the kit contained expired medications. I was told that the doctor was on another island, which left us feeling helpless and deeply concerned for my father's health. The next day, I decided to check out early as the situation was dire. A person claiming to be the manager offered some comforting words, but despite sharing all these issues with him and expressing how unwell I had been for the past few days, I received no further response or support. Before leaving, the manager promised to refund us one night's accommodation for our trouble. However, after leaving the island and trying to follow up via email, I received no response. Overall, this was a very negative experience. I was very disappointed and frustrated by the lack of proper medical assistance, the indifferent attitude of the staff, and the unfulfilled promise of compensation.

We were blown away by this place! The views, the food, the wildlife and the people. Our room was situated beachfront on the side of the island that catches the sunset, stunning blue water coral reef a short swim from the shore. The bar and restaurant are a 2 minute walk on the other side of the island on a white sandy beach that that looks out to another couple of the mamanuca islands and the mainland. The staff were amazing, full of local knowledge and very helpful. We will definitely be back!!

I stayed for 5 nights over the New Year period. The stay was pleasant and the room had a wonderful air conditioner. The resort offers snorkelling and fish feeding. The place is under new management so I imagine this place will only get better. My only fault is the food - some nights the dinner was good, other nights it wasn’t enjoyable. Hit or miss and was a bit like camp food. However, I have been told they are putting money into improving this. The island is gorgeous and housekeeping was very good. The cocktails and drinks were more expensive than on the mainland but I imagine they need to pay for transport - the cost was similar to Australia and was not unreasonable. They had day trips from Beachcomber to Cloud 9 and the Malamala beach club. Everything was well organised and ran smoothly. The best thing was definitely the beach, which is clean and well-maintained. The island has natural beauty. It is a good option if you don’t need a fancy resort like the Sheraton or Hilton and just want to unwind. Overall it was a great experience.

Travelled solo on a last min trip to escape Cyclone Alfred in QLD and I have NO REGRETS!! I have had the most relaxing, enjoyable time this week! Nothing has been too hard for the staff. I missed out on lunch and the kitchen still cooked me a burger outside of opening hours. I wanted to play volleyball so they found some staff to play with me... If something wasn't perfect, or if I wanted something, all I had to do was ask. I've seen baby turtles, drank kava, made friends with staff and other guests, learnt a fiji dance, INHALED many many cocktails and did a few day trips, organised by reception!! Ohh and had a great facial at the spa 😃 Bula and vinaka

Beachcomber resort is a 2.5 star for the following reasons. Transfer speedboat ride from hell. The 'on purpose' bumpiest ride I've ever had in any type of boat. Half coral half sand shores mean that you have to wear sneakers or aqua shoes when walking in, out around water. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. No, to limited snacks on the island as in you can't order from the kitchen during the day, no room service and no bar snacks. You're left with minimum set menu's indicative of your travel packages. The food is nice and prepared quite quickly, the variety is limited. Our burea number 1 was tacked together in the 1980's with a leaky toilet to match though we did get moved to a west facing burea 2. Similar build with a hand brush painted mini fridge (why) and ants under our sheets. They gave us a can or Mortein spray for that. Centrally on the island there's what looks like a water treatment plant and storage work shop that looks old, greasy. To the left of the main outside eating area there's a huge pile of rubbish including an engine cylinder block. There are smatterings of rubbish all around this island that's currently under refurbishment in March 2025. Bar prices are around aud $10 for beer, $5 for soft drink$15 for wine and spirits. If you're lucky there is a large jar of free ice water on the bar. Other than that during our week here I got no ice in my drinks. Free daily snorkelling fish feeding to a nearby reef and if from shore you swim out 20 to 30 meters you can snorkel and see tropical fish and half dying coral. I've had a better experience in New Caledonia. The service is 5/5 - Accommodation 2.5/5 - Food 3/5, based on their limited set menu's and the fact that you can only eat duringvset meal times like in school - Drink 3/5 due to prices being too high - Amenities 3/5 based on the public toilet that you couldn't close the stall door on in the men's (ridiculous) - Beach 3/5 with warm clear water though a mostly coral bed under foot - Overall 2.5 due to the resort just being old and run down to a point where years of renovations would be needed along with remodelling of plant nursery area, workshop facilities and turtle viewing ponds.
