The breakfast was good. Love the soft boiled egg machine. Excellent croissants. Dinner was exceptional. Property is maintained beautifully. We booked late so the Superior King room we had only has shower. Would be nice to have a tub. No elevator as expected. No AC. The couple of days we stayed there were warm. I think they opened the windows during the daytime so when we got back in the evening, there were a dozen of flies in our room. Overall the stay was pleasant.

Lovely setting!!! We were not given the room we had reserved. We had to change rooms after 2 days. The first room, was quite large in an out building. It was decorated in 2nd hand furniture and run down. We were very disappointed. On the last night we changed to the correct room and it was lovely. They are very under-staffed, with only one person on duty in the evenings for checkin, problems, the bar, etc. Also, the restaurant is not open every day and the taxi ride, one way to town, was $25. (10 miles) I would not recommend.

A nice property in a large park. Our "classic double" room in the chateau building overlooking the park was comfortable and quiet. Don't expect the hotel to be of Relais & Chateaux quality. Was reasonable value for money. Dinner at the hotel was too fussy and expensive for us - see separate review. Breakfast was good. Great visit to the Memorial Museum of the Battle of Normandy in nearby Bayeux.

Great grounds, nice room, excellent pool and spa, spoilt by overrated, overpriced food: Tiny quantities of bland unrecogisable works of art does not replace a decent meal, left the dining room disappointed and hungry. Bar prices are also ott. Breakfast buffet very good though.

Stunning place with fantastic amenities and very welcoming staff. Very convenient for Caen ferry terminal. Would love to stay for longer next time.

It was a wonderful stay in a French chateau in the countryside. We rented a car so there was no issue with transportation but I’m not sure how you would get around if you didn’t have one. Our room was on the top floor but they helped carry the suitcases up as there was no elevator. I was worried about not having air conditioning but there was a fan in the room and when the windows were open it had a nice cross breeze so it wasn’t an issue. The gardens were amazing and well kept. We had a nice dinner in the restaurant as well. The pool and hot tubs were ok. The sauna was not working. I would have liked to have known the history of the Chateau but I couldn’t find anything (like a brochure or even on the Internet) that could elaborate on it. I really did love our stay there. I loved our cozy little room. The bathroom was a good size and every window had a stunning view.

We had a very enjoyable stay, spent a lot of the time at the pool which was heated and in a nice location. Room was large considering it was a standard. Staff friendly, clean hotel, lots of parking, short drive to town, nice location and surroundings.
We didn't eat at the restaurant as didn't like the menu.

Peaceful & comfortable
Our room was a Superior room with large windows looking out to the front of this impressive chateau. The bed and bedding were very comfortable and we slept well. The bathroom was good but was let down by a very lame shower. We ate dinner there both nights but I hadn't noticed at the time of booking that it was a Michelin restaurant. The food was excellent but of course very expensive. We did not have breakfast but it looked good. There is a swimming pool which we made a little use of but the area lacked sunbeds and was quite uninviting.
